Netrokona is a district in Mymensingh Division in northern Bangladesh.
Netrakona District is bounded by the Garo Hills in Meghalaya of India on the north, Sunamganj District on the east, Kishoreganj District on the south and Mymensingh District on the west.
Netrokona district is divided into ten upazila or sub-districts (Atpara, Barhatta, Durgapur, Khaliajuri, Kalmakanda, Kendua, Madan, Mohanganj, Netrokona Sadar, Purbadhala).

Rowailbari Durgo
Ruined FortAli Isha Kha established a huge empire in this region and took control of Jungalbari of Kishoreganj and Rowailbari fort of Netrokona. It is known that there was a road from Rowailbari to Jangalbari. After the death of Isha Kha, Dewan Jalal took over the domination. He built a beautiful mosque in the Rohelibari fort and reformed the fort. It was known as 'Jalal Mosque'. The vast part of the Royailbari fort was buried under the ground two decades ago. The Department of Archeology runs excavation work from 1991 to 1993 at Royailbari fort. The old protected area of Royailbari is on about 46 acres of land.
How to go: go to Kendua from Netrokona. Then from Kendua go to Royailbari Bazar by auto. The fort is walking distance from Bazar.
