Bangladesh is a country in South Asia.

Bangladesh has international border with India to the west, north, and east. There is a small border with Myanmar to the southeast. The Bay of Bengal is located in the south, where Sundarban forest and many other beaches are located. Bangladesh is home to much of the Sundarbans, the world's largest mangrove forest, covering an area of 6,000 square km in the southwest. The forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cox's Bazar, the world's longest uninterrupted beach, is located in the southeast. Kuakata Beach, from the same point, you can watch the sunset and sunrise, is located in the south end of the country.

Bangladesh is divided into 8 divisions (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet). Divisions are divided into 64 districts. District is divided into city or town and sub-districts. Dhaka is the largest city and Capital of Bangladesh.

Sompur Mahavihara in Paharpur of Naogaon district, is one of the best known Buddhist Viharas or monasteries in the Indian subcontinent. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. The mosque City of Bagerhat is a UNESCO World Heritage Site is located in Bagerhat district. It has 360 mosques.

It is bounded by Mymensingh Division to the north, Barisal Division to the south, Chittagong Division to the east and south-east, Sylhet Division to the north-east, and Rajshahi Division to the west and Khulna Divisions to the south-west.
Dhaka Division consists of 13 Districts. District are divided into city, subdistricts and Unions. Dhaka City in Dhaka District is the capital of Bangladesh.

Barishal Division is home to Kuakata beach is the main tourist spot in the division. It is one of the two sea beaches in South Asia where both sunrise and sunset at sea can be seen.

Khulna Division

Khulna Division is the second largest division of Bangladesh. It is located southwest part of the country.
