Rajshahi is a district in Rajshahi Division of Bangladesh. Rajshahi city is one of the cleanest city in Bangladesh.

Rajshahi District is bounded by Naogaon District to the north, Natore District to the east, Chapai Nawabganj District to west and a small part of Kushtia District and the river Padma to the south.

Rajshahi District is divided into 9 Sub-district (Bagha, Bagmara, Charghat, Durgapur, Godagari, Mohanpur, Paba, Puthia, Tanore).

Rajshahi famous for Mango and Silk cloths.



How to Reach Rajshahi

There 3 different ways you can reach at Rajshahi. Air, Train & Bus.

By Train: Best Train is Bonolota. Other trains are Silkcity Express. Ticket fare including VAT Shovon-315 Taka, Snigdha-604 Taka, AC Seat-725 Taka, AC Berth-1081 Taka.
By bus: AC and Non-AC bus leaves from Technical, Kollanpur such as Desh (দেশ) Travels (01762684404) and National Travels. AC fare 900 Taka and Non-AC fare 450 Taka. You also can go from Mahakhali bus terminal. Akota Paribahan (একতা - 01875073300). They have only non-AC bus, fare 450 Taka.

Zoo

Nice clean zoo one of the nice visiting place for the local people, specially for children. Entry Fee 25 Taka
How to go: From Shaheb Bazar about 3km to West. It will take 10 Taka by Easy bike per person.


Museum

Varendra Museum ( বরেন্দ্র জাদুঘর ) is a museum, research center and popular visitor attraction located at the heart of Rajshahi town and maintained by Rajshahi University in Bangladesh. It is considered the oldest museum in Bangladesh. Varendra museum was the first museum to be established in East Bengal in 1910. Entry Fee: 5 taka.
How to go: From Zoo, Museum is about 2Km to East. it will take 5 Taka by Easy bike.


Rajshahi College

Rajshahi College is the third oldest institutions of higher education in Bangladesh. Established in 1873 in Rajshahi city, it is the third oldest college in Bangladesh after Dhaka College and Chittagong College.
How to go: Walking distance about 450 meters from Museum to East and  400 meters to West from Shaheb Bazar Zero point.


Padma River Park

Nice park utilizing the edge of Padma River. Entry Free. Nice place to spend time beside the River.
How to go: Ricksha fare 10 taka from Shaheb Bazar. You also can walk. to park


Zia Children's Park

An Artificial Park for the local people. Entry fee 25 Taka.
How to go: From Shaheb Bazar you have to go Railgate or Bindur Mor by auto, fare 10 taka. From There another auto bike will take to Aam Chottor. Before Aam Chottor tell the driver to drop you park mor. From there you have to turn left and walk to park.


Silk Polli

Silk City Rajshahi. So Need to visit Silk factory area. There you also can buy Silk clothing and accessories from different shops.
How to go: Go to BDR mor from Railgate mor or Aam Chottor by easy bike. Then walk to Silk polli


Hawa Bhaban

Royal Bath Place

This is a beautiful terracotta building. 1st floor in the water. 2nd and 3rd floors above the water. The kings of Puthia used to cool the body and mind during the summer.
How to go: Go to Puthiya Bazar from Rajshahi by bus. 2.5 Km before puthiya bazar is Tarapur. Inform bus helper to drop you tarapur. From main road, turn right and walk 350 meters to Hawa Bhaban.

Puthia Shiva Temple

Puthia is little far from Rajshahi Town. You have to go Puthiya sub-district from town by bus towards Dhaka road. Then turn right and hire VAN to go Puthiya temple.

This palace has 1000 doors. few meters walking way from Puthia Shiva Temple

Bagha Mosque/h4> Old Architecture

The mosque was built in 1523 AD during the reign of Bengal (Gaur) sultan Nasrat Shah. There is a big pond adjacent to the mosque, where the bird's view in the winter is sparkling.
How to go: From Puthiya Bazar walk 240 meters towards Rajshahi road. Then turn left. The road goes to Puthiya Royal Palace. Same road goes to Bagha Sub-district side 20 Km away from the main road. Go to Bagha by auto. The mosque is in the left side of the corner of Bagha main road.
