Transportation in Singapore

If you are staying 3 days in Singapore and You will travel a lot by Bus or train (LRT/MRT) and you are budget traveler, then SG Tourist Pass is a great deal for you.
3-Day Pass cost $25. Day-1 starts from the 1st usage till 11:59 PM. After 12 AM midnight will count 2nd day. So if you buy early in the morning, you will get the whole day that means maximum utilization of the card. If you reach early in the morning at Changi airport you can buy it from there.
Ticket Counter (24 hours daily): Terminal 2 Departure Hall, Terminal 3 Level 1, Terminal 4 Arrival Hall.

How to go: From Tangling Gate walk about 480 meters towards south, then turn left after the Post Office Tanglin walk about 600 meters and turn right to Orchard road.

President office

The Istana is the official residence and office of the President of Singapore. The foundation stone was laid in July 1867. You can omit this place. Inside house photography is not allowed.
Visiting Time: 8:30 AM to 6 PM.
Entry Fee: S$4 Guided and S$2 Unguided.
How to go: It is about 2 km from the Northwest starting point of Orchard road and turn left. It is 600 meters from Southeast point of Orchard road and turn right.

Fort Canning Park

Fort Canning Park is historic hilltop landmark. The palaces here ware used as 14th century Malay Kings and served as the Headquarters of British of Army Barracks. Singapore surrender to the Japanese on 15 February 1942 at this place.
Now Fort Canning Park features nine historical gardens.
Visiting Time: 24 hours every day.
Entry Fee: Free for Park.
How to go: There are few entry points. From Istana at Orchard road walk 500 metesr towards south. You will see over bridge and the park start from there.

Battle Box: The Battlebox is a former WWII British underground command centre inside Fort Canning Hill. The Battlebox is now a museum that unveils the true causes behind “the worst disaster and largest capitulation in British history”. Entry Fee - S$18 for adult and S$9 for child (7 – 12 years).
