How to Reach Johor Bahru

You can reach at Johor Bahru (Senai International Airport) from any airport in Malaysia. From airport to city is little bit far. From Airport, you have to go by bus to the city.
Find a cheap flight from below. This is my favorite search engines because it search websites and airlines around the world. Enter your depart and return date. If one way then cross the return date.



From Kuala Lumpur: Bus takes about 6-7 hours and fare between RM 35.
From Malacca: Bus takes about 3 hours and fare between RM 15-21.

There are many places to visit in Johor Bahru. But where to start, it depends on your hotel location.

Day-1:

Seri Alam Blue lake

Lake

Tasik Biru bandar Baru Seri Alam (Hidden Lake). Beautiful Blue lake.
How to go: It is situated near University Kuala Lumpur - Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC) at Jln Persiaran Sinaran Ilmu Bandar Seri Alam.


Pelabuhan Stulang Laut

Ferry Terminal

Also known as Berjaya Waterfront Ferry Terminal. This ferry terminal serves sea transportation services to Indonesia including Batam and Bintan Island.
How to go: It is about 2.5 km away from Johor Bahru - Singapore Port towards east.



Day-2:

Legoland

Theme Park

Theme Park, Water Park, Sea Life
Visiting Time: 10 AM to 6 PM every day.
Entry Fee: Theme Park + Water Park + Sea Life - 329 RM for adult and 272 RM for child and senior citizen. Theme Park + Sea Life - 262 RM for adult and 210 RM for child and senior citizen. Theme Park - 199 RM for adult and 157 RM for child and senior citizen. Water Park - 146 RM for adult, 120 RM for child and senior citizen. Sea Life - 89 RM for adult, 69 RM for child and senior citizen.
How to go: There are available public buses to go to Legoland.

Online: Buy your online ticket and avoid ticket line for SEA LIFE at Legoland Admission Ticket.


Day-3:

Dataran Mahkota

Attraction

Nice view with beautiful architectures.
How to go: It is situated at Kota Iskandar.

Puteri Harbour Theme Park

Entry Fee: Sanrio Hello Kitty Town - RM 89, Thomas Town - RM 89, Both Park -RM 131.
How to go: About 1 km from Dataran Mahkota at Puteri Harbour.


Little Big Club

Theme Park

How to go: The Little Big Club is situated on the second and third floors of Puteri Harbor Indoor Theme Park.

Dinosaur Kingdom

Theme Park

Attractions: Pterosaur's Nest, Dinosaur Wildpark Live Show, Baby Dinosaur Trail, Raptor's Maze, 5d Cinema, Dino Riders, Education Hub, Space Invasion, Dinosaur Battleground, Fossil Dive, Ice Fossil, Inflatable Dinosaur Island, Triceratops Train, Racing Dinosaurs.
Entry Fee: RM 30 for adult, RM 20 for child and senior citizen, RM 50 for foreigner
Entry + All Access Passes (Except Carnival Games & Eligible Ice Fossil 1 times): RM 68 for local and RM 98 for foreigner.
How to go: 100 meters walking distance from Theme Park.



Day-4:

Istana Besar

Royal Palace

Also known as Grand Palace This palace was built in 1866 by Sultan Abu Bakar. There is a Royal Abu Bakar Museum in the premises.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 5 PM
Entry Fee: For Johor Bahru People - 4 RM for adult, 1 RM for child. For Malaysian - 5 RM for adult and 1 RM for child. For foreigner - 7 USD for adult and 3 USD for child.
How to go: It is 1.5 km from the Johor Bahru-Singapore port towards west.


Zaharah Botanic Gardens

How to go: About 300 m northwest of the palace museum complex.

Zoo Johor

Zoo

Visiting Time: 9 AM to 6 PM every day.
Entry Fee: 2 RM for adult and 1 RM for child.
How to go: About 400 meters from Botanic Gardens towards west and near Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque towards east.


Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque

Mosque

It was constructed between 1892 and 1900 by Sultan Abu Bakar.
How to go: About 250 meters walking distance from Zoo towards west.


Dataran Bandaraya

City Square

It was built on 1 January 1994.
How to go: About 1.5 km from Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque towards west.


Istana Bukit Serene

Royal Palace

Istana Bukit Serene is the royal palace and official residence of the Sultan of Johor. This palace was completed in 1933.
Public are not allowed to enter this palace but you can see the glimpse of the beautiful palace from gate and take photos. You can visit the crown arch tower at the outside of the palace gate. Evening light show looks nice.
How to go: It is about 3.5 km from Dataran Bandaraya towards northwest via Danga Bay Park.


Danga Bay Park

Park

There is a beach at this area. At night lighting looks beautiful in the park.
Visiting Time: Monday - Saturday 6 PM to 2 AM. Sunday 6 PM to 12 AM.
Entry Fee: Entry free. There are different types of rides such as Pirate Ship, Antique Car Station etc. If you want to enjoy, you have to pay.
How to go: About 500 meters from Istana Bukit Serene Main Gate towards south.



Day-5:

Dinosaurs Alive Water Theme Park

Theme Park

Dinosaurs Alive Water Theme Park and KSL Water Park at the same place. Nothing special but children may love this place.
Visiting Time: Monday to Friday - 10 AM to 7 PM, Saturday - Sunday and Public holiday - 9 AM to 7 PM. 50 % free if you have room booking at KSL hotel
Entry Fee: 50 RM for adult and 30 RM for child.
How to go: Besides KSL hotel.


Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple

Hindu Temple

It is the first and only glass temple in the nation. It started in 1922, presented by the Sultan of Johor.
How to go: It is about 800 meters from Johor Bahru Sentral station towards northwest.


JB Mariamman Temple

Hindu Temple

One of the oldest Hindu temples in Johor Bahru. Originally built in December 1911.
How to go: It is situated near Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple.


Church Of The Immaculate Conception

Catholic church

It is the oldest church in Johor Bahru, built in 1927 by the late Rev. Fr. C.
How to go: About 500 meters from JB Mariamman Temple towards south. Besides Menara Landmark.


Menara Jland

Tower

Activities: Sky Bridge, Virtual Reality, Led Tunnel, Floor Games, Mini Theatre.
Visiting Time: 10 AM to 10 PM.
Skyscap Ticket Price: starts at 28 RM for adult and 18 RM for child.


Angry Birds Activity Park

Indoor Theme Park

Attractions: Danger zone, Utopia, Classic, South Beach, Entrance & Couter, Parents Lounge, Red's Jungle Run, Snake Bar Cafe, Angry Bird Shop.
Ticket Price: Normal Rate RM 75, MyKad/ MyKid Holders - RM 60, Normal Rate (Family Pass for 4 persons) - RM 280, MyKad/ MyKid Holders (Family Pass for 4 persons) - RM 218.
How to go: Besides Menara Jland tower towards south.


The Old Temple

Taoist temple

How to go: Just Besides Persada Johor International Convention Centre and Puteri Pan Pacific Hotel.

Arulmigu Rajamariamman Devasthanam

Hindu Temple

How to go: About 300 meters walking distance from Old Temple towards south.

Sultan Ibrahim Building

Landmark

The building was constructed between 1936 and 1939 and was completed in 1940.
How to go: About 300 meters from Arulmigu Rajamariamman Devasthanam towards west.


Note that: Also visit China town towards south from Sultan Ibrahim Building.


Day-6:

Kangkar Pulai Blue Lake

Lake

How to go: Go to Bandar Baru Kangkar Pulai by bus from anywhere. Go through road Persiaran Bandar Baru Kangkar Pulai Fasa 3b towards northwest about 700 meters from circle. Then turn right towards north through road Jalan Pulai Mesra 20 about 480 meters. Then turn left towards west and go straight then left then right total about 750 meters. You will reach the blue lake.

Note that: About 1 km Uphill of this lake, There is another big lake. You can visit there also.

Sultan Iskandar Mosque

Mosque

Construction began from 2012 and was completed in 2015. The mosque was officially opened in 8 April 2016.
How to go: About 6 km from Little Paris towards west.

Tourist Attraction

How to go: It is situated at Jalan Jaya Putra 1/1, Taman Mount Austin.
