Chattagram former name was Chittagong. Chittagong is a large port city is located in Chattogram Division of Bangladesh.

Chattogram is bounded by Khagrachhari and Rangamati districts and Tripura State of India on the north, Cox's bazar district on the south, Bandarban, Rangamati and Khagrachhari districts on the east and Noakhali district and the bay of bengal on the west.



How to Reach Chattogram

You can go by bus, by train or by air.

By Air: Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong is connected with any other airports in Bangladesh with international flights.

Buy cheapest air ticket from the app below or check flight fares in Bangladeshi Taka. Or check airfares in other currencies - USD, Canadian Dollar, Euro, Russian Ruble, Indian Rupee.

Type your destination "Chittagong" and select it from drop down menu. Enter your Depart date and Return date. If one-way then cross the Return date. If more than 1 passenger, enter. If you want business class click on "Business class" and click on search
.



By Bus: There are plenty of buses go to Chittagong. Shohagh AC bus fare is start from 1000 Taka and other Non-AC bus fare is 480 Taka.

Day-1:

Rail Station

A nice Rail Station at Chittagong. If you come from Dhaka by train, this is the end point.

Batali Hill

Small Hill

Batali Hill is a 280 feet height hill.
How to go: Come to Tiger Pass Bus Stop then go to Batali Hill

War Cemetry


Visiting time: 9AM - 12PM and 3PM - 5PM Everyday
How to go: From Batali Hill this is 2Km away at Mehedibag. You can go by bus to Mehedibag from any place in Chitttagong.

Mini Bangladesh

Artificial Park

You will get main Architectures in Bangladesh in a same place
Entry Fee: 150 Taka

Day-2:

Foy's Lake

Another crowded tourist place is Foy's Lake. You can go by bus from anywhere in Chittagong. Bus number 7 which take you to town from Shandip Ghat, you will see Foy's Lake on the way. Otherwise you can come from Dampara Wasa More by bus number 14. There are plenty of ways. Just ask to the local people, they will tell you the best way.
Foy's Lake Entry fee is 200 taka. With all rides entry is 300 taka. So, buy entry with all rides is best solution. Remember one thing don’t eat anything in the park. They take more price than the outside but unhygienic food.

Day-3:

Khejurtola Beach

This is another nice beach in Chittagong.
How to go: Go to Katgar Bus Stand after Steelmill Bazar from Chittagong town by bus. From there you can walk 1.5 Km or by auto or ricksha, go  to Khejurtola Beach

Potenga Sea Beach

The most crowded tourist place is Potenga in Chittagong Districts.
To go there from station road you have to catch Bus No 6 this will take you to stoppage. Fare is only 10 taka
From there you can go by bus no 10 or by auto rickshaw. Fare is 5 taka per person. There you can go to the beach by walk on the left side from the mor.
Horse Ride at Potenga: One round trip cost 30 Taka:
Speed boat ride at potenga: One round trip cost 200 Taka
Motor Bike ride at Potenga: One round trip cost 30 Taka

Karnafully River

If you ever go to Potenga, then must travel the karnafully river side road. Hire a paddled ricksha to the Ghat 15. There is nothing to see at ghat no 15 but you will enjoy the road by paddled rickshaw. Ricksha fare is 20 taka one way. Up down 40 taka will give you a nice journey and nice view.

Parki Sea Beach

This is another nice beach in Chiitagong
How to go: from Karnafully River Ghat No. 15 cross the river by boat. Then you have to take CNG to Parki beach 6 Km away from Ghat.


Day-4:

Shrine of Bayezid Bostami


Here you can also see a pond. There are 150 to 350 Turtles in this pond.

Chalonda Giripath


How to go: From Chittagong University station walk to Zero Point. From Zero Point go to Kolar Jhupri by Van. Fare 5 Taka. Then start walking from the back side road from Kolar Jhupri.

Hajarikhil Forest

Wild Life Sanctuary

This is a forest. Birder will love this place. 123 types of birds.
How to go: You have to go to Fatikchhari. Then by CNG through boroirdala-haidchakia road. 7 Km from main road.

Bhatiary Lake

Lake

Nice Lake which is also called sunrise and sunset point. This area protected by Army. So totally safe.
How to go: From Hat Hazari there is a road direct go to Bhatiary.


Tourist Places in Shitakundo

To go to Shitakundo from Chittagong town market you have to to by bus no 7. It takes only 15 Taka.

Baes Kundo

How to go: 1 Km behind the Shitakundo Rail Station. On the way of Chandranath Hill. You can also see Gojariya Dighi on the way of Baes Kundo

This a Hindu Temple up on the hill from where you can see the landscape view
How to go: Walk from Baes Kundo

Jhorjhori Waterfall

How to go: From Shitkundo Rail station you have to go 3 Km towards Dhaka road. Then go Bariadyala village. From there you have to walk to Jhorjhori Waterfall

Eco Park, Shupto Dhara Waterfall, Shohosro Dhara Waterfall, Shitakund:

Both waterfalls are in the same park, called Eco Park. Its Natural beauty. If you want to see the waterfall, must go in rainy season. Otherwise you will be disappointed like me.
Entry Fee: 10 Taka.
How to go: Eco Park is on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway road. It is 38 kilometers away from Chittagong town. You have to stop at Fakirhat, Shitakund. You will see the signboard.
You can go by walk or take a rickshaw will take 20 Taka to the Park Gate.
After cross the gate you have to hire a CNG to go to Shohosro Dhara Waterfall more than 3 kilo away. It will take 200 Taka for one way. Don’t try to walk because another long walk is waiting for you.
After reach there you have to hike down to watch the natural view of the waterfall.

Guliya Khali Beach

A natural, exceptional, beautiful beach. This is not a sandy beach. Its green beach looks like green carpet on the beach.
How to go: Just opposite road from Main road of Eco park. You have to walk 5.5 Km. Better you can hire Ricksha or CNG.

Bashbariya Sea Beach

How to go: It is at 7 Km south from Guliya Khali beach. Come to Bashbariya Bus Stop from Shitakundo. From bus stop walk to the Bashbariya Sea Beach

Kumira Ghat

Another nice place is Shandip Ghat. Almost 650 meters long bridge on the sea.
How to go: You have to go Kumira (The largest ship breaking port in the world). From Kumira you have to hire a rickshaw to Shandip Ghat. Fare is 20 taka.
Try to go after 3-4 PM because weather before that time is hot.

Shandip

A small island. Nothing to see but you can go there but the villager life.

How to go: You will see speed boat at Kumira Ghaat. It will take 350 Taka per person. It takes only 20 minutes to go to Shandip. It carries total 10 persons. Another way is engine boat. It takes 1.5 hours to go to Shandip and takes 100 Taka per person. It can carries total 40 persons.

Kumarikundo

Water Well

Kumarikund mainly a totally ruined hindu temple. Now you can see nothing there but a water well about 8 to 10 feet deep, clear blue water, surrounded by rocks. bubbling from inside.
How to go: From Sitakundu ask local people about the Kumarikundo temple.

Bawachhora Lake

How to go: walk 1.5 Km from small Kamaldah Bazar, Mirsharai.

Kamaldah Waterfall

How to go: Go to Satbaria. Then walk to  Kamaldah Waterfall

Napittachhora Waterfall

How to go: Go to Bartakia Station. Then walk to  Napittachhora Waterfall.

Khoiyachhora Waterfall

How to go: Go to Bartakia Station. Then walk to  Khoiyachhora Waterfall.

Mohamaya Lake

How to go: Go to Thakur Dighi Jame Mosque. Then walk to  Mohamaya Lake.

Shonaicchori Trail

This is nice place for trekker.
How to go: Go to Hadi Fakirhat Bazar, Mirsharai. Come to Boro Pathor from Hadi Fakirhat Jaame Mosque. This is the start point of Shonaichhori Trail.
