District of Bangladesh
Khagrachhari is a district in Chattogram Division, Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division and the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
It is bounded by Tripura state of India on the north and west, Rangamati District to the east and Chittagong District to the southwest.
Its local name is "Chengmi". Khagrachhari is also known as Phalang Htaung or the Mong Circle.
Khagrachhari is popular for turmeric.
How to Reach Khagrachhari
By Air: The nearest airport is Chittagong airport. From there you have to go by bus.Buy cheapest air ticket from the app below or check flight fares in Bangladeshi Taka. Or check airfares in other currencies - USD, Canadian Dollar, Euro, Russian Ruble, Indian Rupee.
Type your destination "Chittagong" and select it from drop down menu. Enter your Depart date and Return date. If one-way then cross the Return date. If more than 1 passenger, enter. If you want business class click on "Business class" and click on search.
There are many bus services direct go to Khagrachhari from Dhaka.

ParkA nice park. You will see a hanging bridge inside the park. Just opposite of Aparajita Buddhist Pagoda.
Alutila (আলুটিলা)
CaveAlutila Hill Cave is a 100 meter long and very attractive tourist spot in Bangladesh. It is surrounded by deep green forest. It is often considered as the mysterious beauty of Alutila hill. It is an absolutely safe cave. Most interesting thing beneath the cave is the cold water flowing. From the top of the hill, you can see all around the Khagrachhari town. Also, This place is an excellent picnic spot.
It's a dark cave. You can buy a 'moshal (fire on the bamboo stick)' from the gate.
How to go: It is about 7 Km from Khagrachhari town and 4.5 Km from Heritage Park towards Dhaka road. You can go by local bus.
Alutila Buddhist Pagoda
Buddhist TempleNear Alutila cave there is a Buddhist Pagoda opposite of the road.
Resung Waterfall
WaterfallResung or Richhang is a wonderful waterfall in Bangladesh. It is about 30 meter in height.
This is nice but careful about slope near waterfall. you can slip. Accident can be happened.
How to go: It is 9 Km away from Khagrachhari town and 2 Km from Alutila towards Dhaka road. You can go by local bus. Then you have to walk to the waterfall about 500 meters down stair.
Day 2:
Hatimura Stairway
Stairway308 feet length stair just like the stairway to heaven.
How to go: From Khagrachhari buses go to Panchhari. On the way of Panchhari there is a place name Jaamtoli after the Khagrachhari stadium. From Khagrachhari to Jaamtoli bus / auto fare 10 Taka. From Jamtoli, turn Left and start walk. Cross the Chengi River turn right to school road. Name of the school is Palton Joy School. Walk few meters and turn right to Bogra Para. From there walk to "Kaaptola" Area. On the way you have to cross a tila (small hill). Turn right and walk the down road and you will find two ways. Walk to the right side way and you will find the stair way.
Shantipur Aranya Kutir
Buddhist TemplePanchhari Shantipur Aranya Kutir is the buddhist Holy place. Inside the compound there is a largest Buddha sculpture in Bangladesh which is 50 feet hight.
How to go: Panchari Upazila is 25 km from Khagrachhari. You have to go by bus from Khagrachhari. Then Shantipur Aranya Kutir is about Km from the town. You have to walk.
Panchhari Rubber Dam
DamPanchhari Rubber dam, constructed in 2012-2013 on the Chengi River in Shantipur, Panchhari, Khagrachhari. It has brought hope among the hill farmers.
How to go: Panchari Upazila is 25 km from Khagrachhari. You have to go by bus from Khagrachhari. Ruber Dam is on the way from Pnachhari town to Shantipur Aranya Kutir
Day 3:
Debota Pukur
PondNoonchhari Debota Pond (Matai Pukhiri / Goddess Pond) is a remarkable lake known as the Debota Pukur, 500 meters above ground level at Noonchhari. According to a legend of the Tripura tribe, the water of this lake never dries up nor becomes dirty, which is why it is called Matai Pukhiri or the Lake of God.
How to go: Local bus go to Maischari Upazila Army camp towards Rangamati road. Which is 13 Km from Khagrachhari town. Then turn right and you have to trek 4–5 km by foot. If there is private car or hired CNG then it can goes to the Tripura Village.
New zealand Para
LandscapeThis is the only a road and Beautiful paddy-field view on the both side of the road. Hill behind the peddy field make a beautiful landscape. You can feel like you are in New zealand. Thats why the road is called New zealand road.
How to go: This is 1.5 Km from Khagrachhari Town. You can go there by Ricksha.
Day 4:
Toiduchhora Waterfall:
WaterfallWe went to another nice place. It's called Toiduchhara Waterfall. Toiduchhara is the most beautiful waterfall in Bangladesh. It is also known as Shibchari Jharna. It is the largest waterfall of Khagrachhari, surrounded by green hills. You can enjoy natural beauty of this waterfall and it is an ideal place for photography and trekking. Actually there are two Waterfalls you can see here. It will take about 1 hour trekking from 1st waterfall to reach the 2nd one.
How to go: First you have to to Dighinala by bus from Khagrachhari town. It will take 40 minuts and fare 60 Taka. Now you need a local boy as guide to show the way. We requested to a nearby shopkeeper to provide us a boy who can show us two waterfalls. We gave him 500 taka at the end of journey. Then you have to walk through a village then a long tough way.
