Khulna is the third-largest city in Bangladesh. It is located in Khulna Division.

Khulna is bounded by Jashore and Narail districts on the north, bay of bengal on the south, Bagerhat district on the east, Satkhira district on the west.

How to Reach Khulna

By Air: The nearest airport for Khulna is Jashore Airport.

Type your destination "Jessore" and select it from drop down menu. Enter your Depart date and Return date. If one-way then cross the Return date. If more than 1 passenger, enter. If you want business class click on "Business class" and click on search.



There are several Bus service run from Dhaka to Khulna. Shohag Paribahan start from Malibagh. They have also counter at Middle Badda and Abdullahpur, Uttara. Non AC fare BDT 575 and AC 1100 (from 4th row to back) & 1300 (1st row to 3rd row seats). Bus Counter at Khulna is Shibbari Mor. But bus stand in Khulna is in Shonadanga. So they will drop you at Shonadanga from Dhaka.
From Shonadanga you can go to Shivbari mor by Battery Auto, fare 5 Taka each person.

There are not so places to visit in Khulna

Father-in-Law house of Rabindranath

Father-in-Law house of Nobel Prize Poet (1913) Rabindranath Tagore.
How to go: It is in the Ful Tola Sub-District. From Khulna Shib Bari Mor you have to go to Fultola by bus (Fare: 25 Taka) or by CNG (40 Taka/person) to Fultola Bus stand. From there you have to reserve a Van. It will take 10 to 15 Taka and tell Van driver to take you to Rabindra Complex.

Wonderland Park

This is a small park. Local people can spend times. This is at central road, Khalishpur Thana. From Shib Bari mor you will get available Battery Auto to Khalishpur. Fare 15 taka each.

Rupsha Bridge / Khan Jahan Ali Bridge

You can visit Rupsha bridge to spend evening time. Something is better than nothing. Place is nice and you can walk on the bridge too.
How to go: By Auto will take 10 Taka

Sundarban

The UNESCO declared Sundarban the World Heritage Site on the 6th December, 1997 which includes 3 wildlife sanctuaries. Forest lover and Birder will definitely love this tour. World's largest Mangrove forest.

How to Go: Sundarban is not in Khulna district. It is in Bagerhat district and easy to go from Mongla, Bagerhat. For this you have to go to Mongla, Bagerhat by bus from Khulna. It will take only 40 Taka from Shonadanga bus stand, Khulna to Mongla. You can take package from Khulna town. They will take you to Sundarban as per your requirement. From Sonadanga Bus Stand go to south MA Bari Street then turn right. Go by Battery Auto.

KUET

On the way from Dhaka to Khulna, buses enter into the city bypass road. after few minutes you can stop at KUET road. Tell the bus supervisor to drop you there. Or if you are in Khulna city you can easily come from shivbari mor or Sonadanga on the way of Dhaka road.
