How to Reach Penang
From Langkawi to Penang via Payar Island. Ferry departs at 10.30 AM. Fare 60 RM. It takes 2 Hours 45 Minutes.You can also reach Penang by Air. Penang International airport is located near Bayan Lepas.

Clock Tower
TowerHow to go: Just come out from Swettenham jetty road you will reach circle. Clock tower is situated on the right side road entry.
Esplanade
Historical PlaceCaptain Francis Light, a trader for the British East India Company, first landed on 17th July 1786. Fort Cornwallis was constructed next to the field. A Cenotaph had been constructed to honor the Allied personnel of World War I. All structures were destroyed during World War II. After the war, the Cenotaph was rebuilt and reopened in 1948. The field, now known as the Padang.
Fort Cornwallis Entry Fee: RM 20 for foreign adult and RM 10 for foreign child. RM 10 for local adult and RM 5 for child.
How to go: Just come out from Swettenham jetty road you will reach circle. Clock tower is situated on the right side road. Go through the right side road. Esplanade is on your left.
Other attractions: Town hall and City Hall are beautiful landmark. So don't miss to take selfie. These two buildings are at just adjacent of Esplanade.

How to go: 800 meters walking distant from Swettenham Jetty. Go straight from jetty through Light street then turn right to road Jalan Green Hall.
State Museum and Art Gallery
MuseumIt is opened in 1962. Collection of old photographs, maps, charts and other historical relics. There are also Malay daggers, Chinese furniture, embroidery and paintings of old Penang.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 5 PM. Friday remains closed.
Entry Fee: RM 1.

Goddess of Mercy Temple
Chinese TempleIt was first built in 1728.
Visiting Time 5 AM to 6 PM every day.

How to go: Opposite road from St. George Church is Church Street. Walk 250 meters.

Jetty42 houses at Lim jetty were burnt during world war in December 1941. Later, few houses were rebuilt.
