How to Reach Pokhara
Kathmandu to Pokhara
By air you can come to Pokhara from any airport in Nepal.Buy a cheapest air-ticket from below site. This is my favorite site because it shows the different airline ticket prices of the same flight. So it makes easy for me to buy the lowest price ticket.
Type your travel city name "Pokhara" in Destination box. Select your depart and return date. If one-way, click on the 'X' in the return date box. Click on search.
If you go for rafting then they will pick you from Kathmandu and after rafting they will drop you at Pokhara.
If you want to go direct pokhara, you can go by 4 ways.
1) Tourist Bus: 1000 Rupees Per Person. There are available tourism shop in Thamel. You can go and book Ticket.
2) AC Bus: Almost same comfortable as Tourist bus but Cheaper. Price 550 Rupees. It leaves from Gongabu New Bus Stop. Nawal Tours & Travels. Phone: 98400 96797, 98560 33730.
3) Non AC Bus: It Leaves from Gongabu Bus Park (Nepali Pronunciation: Bos Park). Fare 390 Rupees. It takes almost 7-8 Hours.
4) Micro: Outside of Gongabu Bus Park you will see Available Micro. Fare 470 Rupees. It takes 6.30 hours.
If you book Ticket for bus/micro (Kathmandu to Pokhara), try to seat at First row beside driver or right window side. You can enjoy the nice view.
Bus or Micro will take you to Prithvi Chowk. From there you have to go to Lakeside Road by another bus. Bus Fare 20 Rupees. There is a Blue Color bus goes to Lake Side.
Hotels in Pokhara
Most of the tourist are living in Lakeside road of Pokhara. Where one side is Fewa Lake (Phewa Tal) and another side full of shops and hotels.You can book hotel from the below search engine, which compare Booking.com and other all hotel related website and show the different prices of the same room. So, you can book at the lowest price.

Food at Pokhara
Food is costly also in Pokhara. But If you want the cheap food then go to the bus stop. Enter into the opposite road few meters. There you will find few restaurant. You can have food there. Fried Rice 120 Rupees and Chowmein 130 Rupees. Huge quantity. Two people can easily eat that.If you are not budget tourist you will get enough restaurant at the lakeside road.
Transportation in Pokhara
* You can hire car for whole day which is expensive.
* You can hire Motorcycle for the whole day 1000 Rupees and Fuel cost own.
* you can hire Scooty for the whole day 700 Rupees and Fuel cost own about 200 Rupees.
* you can hire bicycle for the whole day 500 Rupees.
* Best way walk and Bus also available and I will describe time to time.
Tourist Places in Pokhara
Day-1:
Hanging Bridge
Suspension BridgeIt was built in 2016. It connects Damsadi Villege to Pokhara Valley. Its 276 Meter Long & almost 90 Meter High. It can bear load up to 700 People.
How to go: It is about 3 km away from Pokhara. First go to Siddhartha Rajmarg from tourist place. Then cross the road and enter the Rameshwor Marg. Go towards south about 1.2 km the road turns to east. Go about 400 meters then turn right or south. Go downhill about 800 meters, you will find the bridge.
Devi's Fall
WaterfallThis is small waterfall in a small park. I suggest not to go. Just waste of 30 Rupees. You have to see the small fall from a distance.
Visiting Time: 5 AM to 7 PM.
Entry Fee: 30 Rupees.
How to go: No direct bus from Fewa Lake.
Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave
Cave templeA stair goes down. I suggest not to go. Just waste of money. Nothing to see in this cave. It's better see it from my photo.
Visiting time: 6 AM to 6 PM.
Entry Fee: 50 Rupees for Foreigner and 20 Rupees for Nepali.
How to go: Just opposite of Devi's Fall.
Peace Stupa
Buddhitst MonumentIt's a nice place that you must see. From where you also can see Fewa Lake and Himalaya view.
Entry Fee: Free.
How to go: Bus goes there. So go ahead from Mahadev Cave and turn left and walk straight. A place where road turned left and right side small road goes to up on the Hill. You can walk but its really so tough to go there by foot. So Stay there even an hour. Bus goes to village "Umki-Dhumki". On the way of village you have to drop at Stupa. Fare 25 Rupees. From there stair way goes up to stupa.
Come again by bus and tell them to drop you at Birauta.
International Mountain Museum
MuseumIt's a Museum.
Entry Fee: 80 Rupees for Nepalese, 200 Rupees for SAARC and 400 Rupees for foreigner.
Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake)
LakeIt's a nice lake surrounded by Green Hill.
Entry Fee: free
Boat Rent: You can hire boat. Rent per hour 450 Rupees (own drive), 500 Rupees (with boatman). You must hire Life Jacket 10 Rupees per hour.
Tal Barahi Temple
Hindu TempleTal Barahi Temple is a small place and temple in Fewa Lake.
How to go: Tal Barahi Temple is in the middle of Fewa Lake. So you have to ride on boat to go there. Up down 100 Rupees per person + Life Jacket 10 Rupees per person.
Day-2:
Visit Fewa Lake and road side Pokhara then leave hotel and go to Sarongkot. From Hallen Chowk, Pokhara you will get bus to Zero Km. Then another bus/micro will take you left to Baglung Bus Stand. Buses starts from 9 AM and after each 2 hours. If you have time go to Bindabasini Temple.
Bindabasini Temple
Its a Temple just opposite of Sarongkot road. from here you also can see the view of Himalaya.Sarongkot
You can go from Bus stand or from opposite road of Bindabashini Temple. But from there you will get no seat. But from bus stop you may get seat. Fare 50 Rupees. Bus will go up on the hill via Sarongkot to another village. So you have to drop on the road. But everyone get off from bus at Sarongkot view point but don't do that. You will get off from bus where few hotels are there. I'm describing below. Place name is "Bumare Gaira", Sarongkot.Hotels in Sarongkot
Hotel Mountain Garden, Bhanjyang Village, Sherpa Resort. Those three are very close hotels. Room cost almost same 1200-1500 Rupees.Day-3:
Wake up early in the morning. It's time to see sunrise from watch tower. There is a road goes to watch tower from hotel. Early in the morning to enjoy sunrise view, go to watch tower. Ask to your hotel, they will show the road.
Entry Fee: 20 Rupees for Nepalese and 50 Rupees for foreigner. I recommend not to go to tower. It's same view from on the way of watch tower. It will save your few bucks.
Other things to do in Pokhara

It takes you over the city of Pokhara, Phewa lake, near Sarangkot hill, over the Buddha monastery and the south side of the city. flight speed of 50 to 90 km/hour. The maximum altitude is 5,000 feet.Duration: 15 minutes flight.

Glory of Mt. Fishtail
Flight takes you slightly higher and farther. You’ll fly over the Tibetan refugee camp and as far as Lamachour, on the northern part of the valley. This flight takes you as close to the Fish Tail mountain as its possible with the speed of 90 km/ hour.Duration: 30 minutes.

Mountain Range Sky Trek
You can fly around the city and through the valley and eventually make your way to the edges of Mt. Fishtail (or Mt. Machhapuchhre). You can see few of Nepal’s 9 highest peaks such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manasalu. This flight speeds ranging from 90 to 130 km/ hour and the highest altitude of 12,000 feet.Duration: 60 minutes.

Sharongkot Sunrise Visit
If you want to Sharongkot to View Sunrise you can have two ways.1) Talk to tourism shop they will take 1500 Rupees (You can bargain with price). They will take you from your hotel at 5AM & drop your hotel and you can stay there 1/2 hours. There is a Entry Fee for Nepali 20 Rupees & Foreigners 50 Rupees.
2) Another way, there are few hotels on Sharongkot. Room Rent 1200 - 1500 Rupees. So you can see Himalaya from Room or balcony full day and stay at night and see the sunrise early in the morning either from hotel or from tower.
I think number 2 is the most interesting way to see Himalaya for long time. You can go to Sharongkot by bus. Bus fare 50 Rupees and starts from 9 AM and every 2 hours later.
