How to Reach Barcelona

Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (IATA: BCN) previously named Barcelona-El Prat is an international airport. It is the second largest and busiest airport in Spain.
I always use the following app to buy air tickets. Because this app shows the cheapest tickets on all airlines. I can buy tickets as per my requirement. Enter the country you are going to. Then enter your departure and arrival date. Click on search.


From Airport you can go to the city by bus or train.

Hotels in Barcelona

You can stay Gothic Quarter, El Born, Barceloneta or El Raval. To stay in budget, you can stay in Montjuic. All are adjacent Neighborhood in Barcelona.
I always use the following app for hotel bookings. Because it compares to Booking.com, Airbnb and other sites and shows the cheapest price in the same room. I can book a budget or a luxury room as I need it. Just enter your check in and check out date and click search.

Single Ticket

If you use the public transport rarely, single ticket is for you. Single ticket is 2.40 Euro ($2.6). You can buy it at the ticket vending machines.

Travel card “Hola BCN!”

“Hola BCN” is very popular, because it’s simple and convenient for those who will travel a lot in a day.
With this card You can travel by metro (subway), city buses (TMB), tram, regional railway (Zone 1), urban railway (Zone 1) and funicular railway.

Communication Tower

The white tower was built to transmit television coverage of the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona. Tower height is 136 meter.
How to go: About 800 meters from northeast site of Cemetery besides Palau Sant Jordi Sports complex.


Jardi Botanic de Barcelona

Montjuic Castle

Castle

The foundation stone for the basic fortification was laid out in 1640. But stopped. Fifty years later, in 1694, new bastions and battlements were erected and the fortress became a castle. The old fort was however demolished in 1751 by the Spanish engineer and architect Juan Martin Cermeno, creating the current structure, still standing. The final shape of the castle took form during 1779 and 1799.
Visiting Time: 10 AM to 8 PM every day.
Entry Fee: 5 Euro ($5.48) for adult and 3 Euro ($3.29) for discount ticket. On Sunday after 3 PM, the entry fee is free.
How to go: The cable car service begins in Avinguda Miramar and leaves visitors in front of the Castle. It has three stops, the first in Avinguda Miramar, one in the middle in the Plaça de la Sardana, and one in front of the Castle. Fare 11.00 Euro ($11.96) one way or 16.50 Euro ($17.94) return.
By Bus no. 150. om Plaza Espanya, which will drop you off right outside the castle. Fare 1.03 Euro ($1.12) one way or 2.06 Euro ($2.24) return with a T10 ticket.

Palau Reial de Pedralbes

Eusebi Güell gave the house and garden to the Royal family, as a thank you for his noble title of Count given to him, in 1918. The house was then remodeled to become a royal palace. The work was done from 1919 to 1924.
Now open to the public, it has a museum with a permanent collection including decorative ceramic pieces, Catalan and Arabic pottery and works by Miró and Picasso.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 10 AM to 6 PM. Closed on 1st January, 1st May, 24th June and 25-26 December.

Monastery of Pedralbes is a Gothic monastery in Barcelona, established in 1327. Now it is an art Museum.

Bellesguard

Beautiful Landmark

Also known as Casa Figueres. It was built for the King of Aragon. Aragon died in 1410.
It was passed from hand to hand. At last Jaume Figueres purchased the estate in 1900. Figueres died before the new construction had finished, his wife María Sagues Molíns had to sell it finally to avoid bankruptcy.
The house changed hands until the Guilera family purchased in 1944. Lluis Guilera wanted to convert the building into hospital. Lluis death in 1969. The building continued to used as hospital by his son Lluís Guilera Soler. The site of the hospital relocated to a more accessible area in 1974. The building was used as a private home. The Guilera family began plans to open their home to the public in 2009. Later the family officially began inviting tours in September 2013, offering access to the interior accompanied by explanations of the history and architecture.

Parc del Laberint d'Horta

In 1791, owner of the place Joan Antoni Desvalls, created the design of a neoclassical garden. In 1967 the Desvalls family handed over the park to the city of Barcelona, who opened to the public in 1971.

Inside the Premises: Former palace of the Desvalls family located at the right next to the entrance. The Torre Sobirana, an ancient medieval watchtower, also located inside. There are two gardens - the neoclassical garden and the romantic garden, Few sculptures, fountains, springs, and pools.

Casa Mila also known as La Pedrera. It was the last designed by architect Antoni Gaudí. It was private residence of Roser Segimón and her husband Pere Milà. The building was completed in December 1910. In 1940, Milà died. Segimon sold the property in 1946 to Josep Ballve. In 1984 the building became part of a World Heritage Site.
