Trang is a province in Thailand. There are many beautiful islands in this province.


How to Reach Trang

You can go to Trang by Air.

Buy a cheapest air-ticket from below site. This is my favorite site because it shows the different airline ticket prices of the same flight. So it makes easy for me to buy the lowest price ticket.
Type your travel city name "Trang" in Destination box. Select your depart and return date. If one-way, click on the 'X' in the return date box. Click on search.



Buses also run every 45 minutes from 7:30 AM to 7 PM from Krabi bus stand. It takes about 2 hours and fare starts from 130 Baht.

There are many hotels in Trang town but rather than staying in Trang, you can stay at the hotel in the island you are visiting.

Tourist Places in Trang

Islands are the main attractions in this province. From Trang, get on a taxi or ‘song thaew’ to one of the piers. Kuan Thung Ku pier is the nearest for Koh Mook and surrounding islands, Had Yao Pier at Chao Mai and Taseh piers are closer to Koh Libong and Koh Sukorn.

Koh Mook

Island

Koh Mook or Koh Muk is the most well known island in Trang for Emerald Cave (Tham Morakot). It is the island of ancient communities mostly Muslim.
How to go: By boat from Kuan Thung Ku pier on the Trang mainland. A daily boat leaves the pier at 8 AM. Fare may take 250 Baht.

Koh Mook to Koh Kradan: Ferry depart Koh Mook at 10:45 AM and 3.30 PM. Fare about 550 Baht. It takes 15 mintutes to reach.
Koh Mook to Koh Lanta: Ferry depart Koh Mook at 10:45, 3.30 PM. Fare about 650 Baht. It takes about 1.15 hour.
Koh Mook to Koh Libong: Ferry depart Koh Mook at 11:45 AM. Fare 1150 Baht. It takes about 1.30 hour.
Koh Mook to Koh Ngai: Ferry depart Koh Mook at 10:45 PM. It takes about 30 minutes.

Koh Kradan

Island

Ko Kradan holds the Guinness Book of World Record for the largest underwater wedding. Here couples sign marriage certificates under the sea every Valentine’s Day.
Ferry depart Koh Kradan at 11:35 PM. Fare 950 Baht for adult.
Koh Mook to Koh Kradan: Ferry depart Koh Mook at 10:45 AM and 3.30 PM. Fare about 550 Baht. It takes 15 mintutes to reach.
Accommodation: There are few hotels to stay at this island.

Koh Libong

Island

Trang’s largest island, Koh Libong is sub-district of Kantang District.
How to go: You have to go to Had Yao Pier, Chao Mai, Kantang District. By boat frequently from Chao Mai on the mainland in 30 minutes. Price of ferry is 100 Baht per person, 50 Baht for Thais. You can take private boat. It may cost 750 Baht.
From Koh Mook: Boat depart from Koh Mook at 11.45 AM and Arrive Koh Libong at 1.15 PM. Cost 1150 Baht.

You can also visit Yao Beach and San Beach, both beaches are near to Had Yao Pier in Chao Mai.
