How to Reach Shanghai

Pudong Airport mainly serves international flights, while the city's other major airport Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport mainly serves domestic and regional flights in East Asia.

Distance from Shanghai to Pudong Airport is about 45.7 km and from Hongqiao  is 19.1 km. You can go to the city by train, metro or by bus. You can also book your jouney from below.

Day-1: Qingpu District

Zhujiajiao Water town has the history of more than 1,700 years. Night views on the lake and bridges are beautiful.
How to go: It is located in the Qingpu District, Shanghai. By metro Line 17 from Hongqiao Railway Station to Zhujiajiao town will take approximately 40 minutes and cost RMB 6 ($0.86).  By bus may take around 1 hour and cost RMB 12 ($1.71).
Inside the Premises: Chen Yun Memorial, Qing Dynasty Post Office, Wangchang Memorial Hall, Chen Yun Memorial.
Fangsheng Bridge: Free Life bridge was built in 1571.
Ahnluh: Around 600-year-old courthouse from Ming dynasty now serving as hotel. There are 35 villas, each with private garden and courtyard. Few of them have own outdoor swimming pool.

Day-2: Songjiang District

Sheshan National Forest Park

It has four tourism sites - East Sheshan Park, West Sheshan Park, Tianmashan Park and Xiaokunshan Park.
How to go: By metro Line 9 to Sheshan station, then hop on the double-decker City Sightseeing bus. That's 20 RMB ($2.86), which scares away a lot of people, so you've got basically the whole top to yourself. You can hop on and off all day with that pass. This bus stops at the amusement parks and about twenty other attractions. you can also take the city bus for 1 RMB ($0.14). and they'll drop you off at the foot of the hill.


Sheshan Observatory

Park with huge area. It has seven major areas, such as Sunshine Harbor, Happy Times, Typhoon Bay, Gold Mine Town, Happy Ocean, Shanghai Bund and Shangri-la Woods.

July 9 - August 30: 9:30 - 21:30.
Entry Fee: CNY 230 ($32.85) for adults and child height above 4.9 feet. CNY 160 ($22.85) for child height between 3.6-4.6 feet. Free for child height below 1.1 meters.

Day-4: Songjiang District

Thames town is a replica of British town style architecture. It is a popular location for wedding photos and photo shooting.
How to go: It is located south of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden. Closest metro station is Songjiang Xincheng on line 9.

How to go: It is located southeast side of Hongqiao Airport. By Metro take Metro Line 9 and get off at Qibao Station. Use exit 2 and walk south towards old town.

China Art Museum

Also called Shanghai Art Museum is one of the largest art museums in Asia.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 10 AM to 6 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Free tickets by showing ID or passport. CNY 20 ($2.86) for visiting the moving multi-media show. Show Free for child height below 4.3 feet.
How to go: About 970 meters from the south end of Lupu Bridge towards east inside the former China Pavilion at No-205, Shangnan Road, Pudong New District.



Day-9:

St. Ignatius Cathedral

Church

The first church was built in 1851.
How to go: It is located near the Xujiahui Metro station exit 3.


Wukang Mansion

Apartments

Completed in 1924, the eight-storey apartment building which became the Residents of famous actors and actresses. The building name was Normandie Apartments and was renamed in 1953 to Wukang Mansion. Dozens of suicidal case happened at this building including celebrities.
How to go: It is about 1.7 km from St. Ignatius Cathedral towards north at 1850 Huaihai Road, Xuhui District.


Soong Ching-ling Memorial Residence

It was built in 1920 and Soong Ching-ling, the wife of president Sun Yat-sen, lived at this place from 1948 to 1963. The residence is now opened to the public.

Wukang Road

Huaihai street is consists of 3 sections.

* West Huaihai Road, formerly called Jordan Road, is 1,510 meters long where you will see Wukang Mansion.
* Middle Huaihai Road, the main section, formerly called Avenue Joffre, is 5,500 meters long.
* East Huaihai Road, formerly Ningbo Road, is 373 meters long.

Site of the First National Congress of the Chinese

Two-story Shikumen building with surrounding beautiful walking street was built as the residence for the members of two Communist Party in 1920. Now it is serving as a museum.

Former Residence of Sun Yat-Sen

Sun Yat-sen, president of China lived in this house from 1918 with his wife Soong Ching-ling until his death in 1925. Soong Ching-ling continued to live here until 1937. Now it is serving as a museum.

How to go: By Metro Line 11, get off at Anting Station. Take exit 2 and then take Jiading 112, Jiading 116 or Anhong Line and get off at Boyuanlu Moyunanlu Station. The museum is about 400 meters.

Nanxiang Ancient Town

Shanghai Museum of Glass Park

How to go: Take subway line 1 to Tonghe Xincun station, then go down to the street level and take bus 726 which goes right past the museum at 685 Changjiang W Road, Baoshan.
