Day-3:

Hongqiao Market

Market

Famous for its pearls business.
How to go: It is located about 1.6 km from the west end of Beijing Railway Station towards south and northeast corner of Temple of Heaven at 9 Tiantan Road in Dongcheng District.


Temple of Heaven

Park

The temple complex was built in 1406-1420 during the reign of the Yongle Emperor of Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). In 16th century, it was extended and renamed "Temple of Heaven" during the reign of the Jiajing Emperor. In 1918 the temple was renovated as a park and open to the public. The Temple of Heaven is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The beautiful buildings are the Circular Mound Altar (Huanqiutan), the Imperial Vault of Heaven (Huangqiongyu) and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest (Qiniandian).
Visiting Time: 8 AM to 5 PM.

Taoranting Park

59 acres park. There is a Cibei Temple (Mercy Temple is located center of the lake, which was built during Yuan Dynasty (1276 - 1368). It is now a Museum. Taoran Ting pavilion is one of China's four famous historical pavilions built during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
Visiting Time: 6 AM to 9.30 PM.
Entry Fee: 2 Yuan ($0.3).
How to go: It is located about 1.4 km from southwest corner of Temple of Heaven towards west.


Fayuan Temple

The Fayuan Temple was first built in 645 during the Tang dynasty by Emperor Taizong named the Minzhong Temple.
How to go: It is located about 1.8 km from Taoranting Park towards north at 7 Fayuansi Front Street in Xicheng District.


Niujie Mosque

Mosque

It was first built in 996 during the Liao Dynasty (916–1125). it is the biggest and oldest one in Beijing.
How to go: It is located about 750 meters from Fayuan Temple towards northwest in Xicheng District.



Day-4:

Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian

It is a World Heritage Site.
Visiting Time: April to October - 8:30 AM to 4:30. November to March - 9 AM to 4 PM.
Entry Fee: 30 Yuan ($4.53) for Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian. 30 Yuan ($4.53) for the museum. half price for child height below 3.9 feet.
How to go: 50 km southwest from downtown Beijing. By bus 917 or 836 from Tianqiao Bus Station to Zhoukoucun Lukou, then change to Fangshan Bus 38 to Yuanren Yizhi. By bus 616 at the south square of Beijing West Railway Station to Liangxiang Ximen, and then change to Fangshan Bus 38.
Inside the Premise:  Peking Man Site, the Upper Cave Man Site, the New Cave Man Site, Gezitang Hall and Zhoukoudian Site Museum.



Day-5:

Beijing World Park

Theme Park

World-famous buildings and historic sites in mini shape. Beijing World Park divided into 17 sections, such as Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Northern Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Oceania, Western Asia, Eastern Asia and Southern Asia. They are connected by water made in the shape of the four oceans.
Visiting Time: April to October - 8 AM to 5:30 PM. November to March - 8 AM to 5 PM.
Entry Fee: 100 Yuan ($15.09) for adult. Free for child below 3.9 feet.
How to go: It is located in Fengtai District. By bus 477, 480, 692, 840, 967 or 969. Get off at Shijie Gongyuan station. By Fangshan Line to Dabaotai and Exit A or B.


Marco Polo Bridge

Bridge

Also called Lugou Bridge was first built in 1189-1192. Later reconstructed in 1698 by Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The bridge is 266.5 meters long.
It is said that this place was the start of the Second Sino-Japanese War in July 1937 battle between China and Japan.
Visiting Time: April to October - 7 AM to 8 PM. November to March - 7 AM to 6 PM.
Entry Fee: 20 Yuan ($3.02).
How to go: It is about 6 km from Beijing World Park towards north in Fengtai District.



Day-6:

Cuandixia

Village

A historic village dating from the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644).
Entry Fee: 35 Yuan ($5.28) (Cuandixia Village + Baiyu Village + Yixiantian + Shuangshitou + Huanglingxi).
Accommodation: Local houses provide rooms at a low price. Not so luxurious. Yiqingchen Courtyard Inn is little bit good among them.
How to go: It is about 90 km west from downtown Beijing in Mentougou District. By Subway Line 1 to Pingguoyuan Station. Then by bus 892 to Zhaitang Station. Then by taxi or carpool with others to reach the entrance. The taxi fare is about 30 Yuan ($4.53).



Day-7:

Jietai Temple

Temple

Jietai Temple was first built in 622 by Tang dynasty (618–907) with the name of "Huiju Temple". Liao dynasty (907–1125) founded the ordination altar or ordination terrace in the temple in 1069. Since then the temple name is "Jietan Temple". The altar is a 11.5-feet-high square tower made of bluestone. There are 113 statues of Buddha around the four sides of the terrace.
Visiting Time: April to October - 8 AM to 5:30 PM. November to March - 8 AM to 5 PM.
Entry Fee: 45 Yuan ($6.79) for adult. Free for child height below 3.9 feet. 80 Yuan ($12.07) for Jietai Temple + Tanzhe Temple.
How to go: It is located at 2 Fu Shi Lu in Mentougou District. By Subway Line 1 to Pingguoyuan Station. Then by bus 948 to Jietaisi (Jietai Temple) Station. Bus 948 leaves from Pingguoyuan Station every day at 7 AM, 10 AM, 1 PM, and 4.10 PM.


Tanzhe Temple

It was first built in 307 by Jin dynasty (265-317), Then it was called "Jiafu Temple" and later renamed "Xiuyun Temple" by Qing dynasty (1644-1911).
Visiting Time: April to October - 8 AM to 5 PM. November to March - 8 AM to 4.30.
Entry Fee: 55 Yuan ($8.3). Free for child height below 3.9 feet.  80 Yuan ($12.07) for Jietai Temple + Tanzhe Temple.
How to go: It is located at in Mentougou District. By Subway Line 1 to Pingguoyuan Station, and then by Bus 931 to the last stop Tanzhe Si (Tanzhe Temple). By bus 336 to Pingguoyuan Subway Station, and then by bus 931 to Tanzhe Temple.
Inside the Premises: Big Bronze Pot, Mahavira Hall, Emperor Tree and Empress Tree, Vairochana Pavilion, Floating Cups Pavilion, Avalokitesvara Hall, Stone Fish.

Capital Museum

How to go: It is located about 1.5 km from the east end of Yuyuantan Park towards east at 16 Fuxingmen Outer street in Xicheng District.



Day-9:

Qianmen Street

Street

North-south 840 meters pedestrian street.
How to go: It starts from the Archery Tower of Qianmen (north end ) to Zhushikou West Street (south end).


Dashilar Street

East-west street was started in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and was completed in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
How to go: It is located about 300 meters from middle of Qianmen Street towards west in Xicheng District.


Zhengyangmen

Gate

Zhengyangmen was first built in 1419 during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644).
How to go: North end of Qianmen Street and south end of Tiananmen Square.


Mausoleum of Mao Zedong

Mausoleum was built on May 24, 1977 to commemorate of Mao Zedong.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - July & August - 7 AM to 11 AM. Rest of the year - 8 to 12 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Free.
How to go: It is located north of Zhengyangmen Gate.


Tiananmen Square

Visiting Time: 5 AM to 10 PM.

How to go: It is located north of Mausoleum of Mao Zedong.


Monument to the People's Heroes

37.94 meters tall monument was built in May 1958 to commemorate of revolutionary struggle during the 19th and 20th centuries.
How to go: It is located center of Tiananmen Square.


National Museum of China

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 9 AM to 5 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Free for basic exhibitions and permanent galleries. You have to pay for some special exhibitions.
How to go: It is located east side of Tiananmen Square.


Great Hall of the People

Hall

State leaders hold diplomatic meetings at this place.
Visiting Time: December to March - 9 AM to 2 PM. April to June - 8:15 AM to 3 PM. July to August - 7:30 AM to 4 PM. September to November - 8:30 AM to 3 PM. It remains closed for the public when there are national conferences or other big political activities were held at this place.
Entry Fee: 30 Yuan ($4.53).
How to go: It is located west side of Tiananmen Square.


National Centre for the Performing Arts

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 9 AM to 5 PM. Monday remains closed.

Zhongshan Park

Visiting Time: April, May, September, October - 6 AM to 9 PM. June to August - 6 AM to 10 PM. November to March - 6:30 AM to 8 PM. Tanghua Greenhouse, Huifang Garden and Exhibition Hall - 9 AM to 5 PM.
Entry Fee: 3 Yuan ($0.45). Free for child height below 3.9 feet.
How go go: It is located north side of Tiananmen Square and south end of Forbidden City.


Imperial Ancestral Temple

Forbidden City

Palace Complex

180 acres complex is the largest palace in the world. Construction began in 1406 by Yongle Emperor, Zhu Di.
From 1420 to 1644, the Forbidden City was the seat of the Ming dynasty. It was captured by Li Zicheng In April 1644.
During the Second Opium War in 1860, Anglo-French forces took control of the Forbidden City and occupied it until the end of the war.
The Palace Museum was then established in the Forbidden City in 1925.
Forbidden City was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visiting Time: April to October - 8:30 AM to 5 PM. November to March - 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM. Monday remains closed. 80,000 visitors are allowed every day. So buy ticket few days ago.
Entry Fee: April to November - 60 Yuan ($9.06). November to March - 40 Yuan ($6.04). 10 Yuan ($1.51) for in the Palace of Tranquil Longevity, including the Opera Museum and Stone Drum Museum. 10 Yuan ($1.51) for in the Hall for Ancestry Worship. Gate of Divine Prowess

The gate was built in 1420. The gate is the back gate of the palace and was used by palace workers and now it is exit gate from Forbidden City.
How to go: It is located north end of Forbidden City and south side of Jingshan Park.

Visiting Time: April to October - 6 AM to 9 PM. November to March - 6:30 AM 8 PM.
Entry Fee: 2 Yuan ($0.3).
How to go: It is located north side of Gate of Divine Prowess.


National Art Museum of China

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 9 AM to 5 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Free. But need to get free ticket by showing identification card or passport. Limitation is 4000 tickets per day.
How to go: It is located about 1 km from Jingshan Park towards east and north end of Wangfujing Pedestrian Street at 1 Wusi street in Dongcheng.


Wangfujing Pedestrian Street

How to go: From Changan Avenue (south end) to National Art Museum of China (north end).



Day-11:

Miaoying Temple

Temple

Also known as White Stupa Temple was built by Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). White Dagoba was built in 1279. The temple was burnt in 1368 except White Dagoba. Later, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) reconstructed the temple and renamed 'Miaoying Temple'.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 4.30 PM.
Entry Fee: 20 Yuan ($3.02).
Free Entry: First 200 visitors can enter free on Wednesday.
How to go: It is located at 171 Fuchengmen Inner street in Xicheng District. By Subway Line 2 to Fuchengmen Station and Exit B and walk about 650 meters towards east. By Subway Line 4 to Xisi Station and Exit A and walk about 820 meters towards west.


Beihai Park

Visiting Time: April to October - 6:30 AM to 9 PM. November to March - 6:30 to 8 PM.
Entry Fee: April to October - 10 Yuan ($1.51). November to March - 5 Yuan ($0.75). Qionghua Islet - 10 Yuan ($1.51). Circular City - 1 Yuan ($0.15). Yong'an Temple - 10 yuan ($1.51). Main entrance + Qionghua Islet + Circular City - 20 Yuan ($3.02) from April to October and 15 Yuan ($2.26) for November to March.
How to go: It is located west side of Jingshan Park.


Shichahai

Area

The scenic area consists of three lakes (Qianhai, Houhai and Xihai). Bordered by Di'anmen West street to the south, Deshengmen Inner street to the west. Dianmen Outer street to the east and Gulou West street to the north.
How to go: It is located north side of Beihai Park.
Inside the Area: Wanning Bridge, Guo Moruo Residence, Lotus Market Marina, Traditional Courtyard House, Prince Gong's Mansion, Yin'an Temple, Houzhao Building, Bat Hall, Tao Bei Le Fu, Prince Chun Mansion.


Prince Gong's Mansion

Museum

Prince Gong's Mansion was built in 1777 during the Qing dynasty (1644-1911) for a court official named Heshen (1 July 1750 – 22 February 1799). In 1799, Hishen was executed for corruption by the Jiangxi emperor and his property was confiscated and was given to Prince Qing. In 1851, the Xianfeng Emperor gave the mansion to his brother, Prince Gong. This mansion was named after him. In 1921, Prince Gong's grandson, Puwei, mortgaged his property to the Catholic Church. The mansion was then used as a university. Until 1951 it was known as Furen Catholic University.
Since November 1996, the buildings and the gardens have become a tourist attraction.
Visiting Time: 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

How to go: It is located about 700 meters from the north end of Beihai Park towards northwest. By Subway Line 6 to Beihai North and Exit B.

Drum Tower and Bell Tower

The Drum Tower was built in 1272 during the reign of Kublai Khan,
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 5 PM. Drum Performances at 9:30 AM, 10 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM, 4:45 PM.
Entry Fee: 30 Yuan ($4.53) for Bell Tower + Drum Tower. 15 Yuan ($2.26) for Bell Tower. 20 Yuan ($3.02) for Drum Tower.
How to go: It is located 110 meter from east end of Yandai Byway street towards north.


Deshengmen

Gate

Once upon a time there was a city wall with few city gates to enter. Deshengmen was the northern part gate, which built in 1437. It had 3 parts - the gatehouse, archery tower, and barbican. The gatehouse was demolished in 1921 and the city wall was in 1969. Now remains only archery tower and barbican of the gate.
How to go: It is located northwest corner of Xihai Lake.

Beijing Zoo is consists of 16 exhibition areas and halls.

National Library of China

Library

The Imperial Library of Peking was founded on 9 September 1909 by Qing dynasty (1644-1911). It was opened to the public on 27 August 1912. The name was changed to the National Peiping Library in 1928. After October 1949, It was again renamed National Peking Library. It was officially renamed the National Library of China in 1999.
How to go: It is located west side of zoo at 33 Zhongguancun S street, Zi Zhu Qiao in Haidian District. By Subway Line 4 or Line 9 to National Library station and Exit D.

Day-14:

Yuanmingyuan Park

Park

Also known as Old Summer Palace. The Construction was started in 1707 by Kangxi Emperor for his son Prince Yong (Yongzheng Emperor). The European-style palaces construction was started in 1747.
In mid-September 1860, A meeting was held between 2 envoys of British with Prince Yi and representatives of the Qing Empire. After the meeting, they and their group were taken prisoner by the Qing general Sengge Rinchen. Later, 20 British, French and Indian captives died. On 18 October 1860, Lord Elgin, the British High Commissioner to China, retaliated against the Chinese resistance by ordering the destruction of the Old Summer Palace. It took 3,500 British troops to set the entire place ablaze, and the massive fire lasted for three days. About 300 palace maids were burnt. Only 13 buildings survived intact.
Visiting Time: April to October - 8 AM to 7 PM. November to March 8 AM to 5 PM.
Entry Fee: 10 Yuan ($1.51). 15 Yuan ($2.26) for Sites of European Palaces. 10 Yuan ($1.51) for Exhibition Hall of Yuanmingyuan in Heyday.
How to go: It is about 7 km from Purple Bamboo Garden towards north. By Subway Line 4 to Yuanmingyuan Station and Exit B to reach south gate of the park.


Summer Palace

Jurchen of Jin dynasty ordered the construction of a palace in the Fragrant Hills and Jade Spring Hill in the northwest of Beijing in 1153. Around 1271, A waterworks project was initiated for Kunming Lake. In 1494, the Hongzhi Emperor of the Ming dynasty built a Temple in front of Jar Hill (Now Longevity Hill). The Zhengde Emperor (who was the 11th Emperor of the Ming dynasty, reigned from 1505 to 1521), built a palace on the banks of the Western Lake. He renamed Jar Hill to "Golden Hill" and named the lake "Golden Sea".
Tianqi Emperor (the 16th Emperor of the Ming dynasty, reigned from 1620 to 1627), took the imperial garden as his personal property. Around 1749, the Qianlong Emperor (the sixth Emperor of the Qing dynasty) expanded the Western Lake and created two more lakes, Gaoshui Lake  and Yangshui Lake. He named the three lakes "Kunming Lake". The Summer Palace was built in 1764 was named "Qingyiyuan". In 1860, the French and British looted the Summer Palace and on October 18, 1860 the British burned down the nearby Old Summer Palace (called the Yuanmingyuan in Chinese).
Between 1884–95, Empress Dowager Cixi (a Chinese empress dowager and regent who was the de facto supreme ruler of China from 1861 to 1908),  ordered  for reconstructing and enlarging the Summer Palace.  The Summer Palace was also given its present-day Chinese name, "Yiheyuan", in 1888. In 1900, the Summer Palace again damaged by a group. That destroyed the imperial gardens and seized many artifacts. The palace was restored two years later. In 1912, the Summer Palace became the private property of the former imperial family of the Qing Empire. Two years later, the Summer Palace was opened to the public and entry tickets were sold. In 1924, the Beijing municipal government took charge of administrating the Summer Palace and turned it into a public park. The Summer Palace is designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Badachu

Visiting Time: March 16 to August 31 - 6 AM to 7:30 PM. September 1 to November 15 - 6 AM to 7 PM. November 16 to March 15 - 6 AM to 6:30 PM.

Xiangshan Park

Best time for Red leaves: October 25 to November 9.
Entry Fee: 10 Yuan ($1.51) from April to November 15. 5 Yuan ($0.75) from November 16 to March. Combo Ticket (the park + Temple of Azure Clouds) - 15 Yuan ($2.26).
Cable Car Cost: 60 Yuan ($9.06) for one-way. 20 Yuan ($3.02) for child height below 3.9 feet.
How to go: By subway line 10 to Bagou Station. Then by Western Suburban Line to Xiangshan Station. Walk 900 meters towards southwest. Or by line 4 to Beigongmen Station and Exit A. Then by bus 563 to Xiangshan Gongyuan Dongmen (east gate of the Fragrant Hills Park) Station.


Temple of Azure Clouds

It was built in 1331 during the Yuan dynasty.
Visiting Time: 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
Entry Fee: 10 Yuan ($1.51).
How to go: It is located at the outside of the north gate of Fragrant Hills Park.


Beijing Botanical Garden

Longqing Gorge

How to go: It is located about 85 km from downtown beijing at Gucheng village in Yanqing District. By bus 919 at Deshengmen Bus Station to Yanqing Bus stop. Then by another bus 875 to Longqing Gorge. By inter-city train line S2 at Beijing North Railway Station to Yanqing South Railway Station. Then by bus 875 to Longqing Gorge. The last bus from Longqing Gorge is 5 to 6 PM.



Day-17:

Great Wall of China

Total length of Great Wall of China is 21,196 km. It is one of the 7th wonders of the world and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Emperor Qin Shi Huang (18 February 259 BC – 10 September 210 BC) of Qin Dynasty, ordered to build of the Great Wall of China. Later Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) was built 8,851.8 km of Great Wall. In total of length, about 526 km is located in Beijing.
There are different sections of Great wall. Most visited sections in Beijing are - Badaling, Juyongguan and Mutianyu. Popular sections are - Simatai, Jinshanling and Shuiguan (Water Pass). Wild sections are - Jiankou, Huanghuacheng and Gubeikou.


Badaling Great Wall

Badalin is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China. At this site, the Great wall of China was built in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty. The highest point of Badaling Great Wall is Beibalou, approximately 3,330 feet above from sea level.
Visiting Time: April to June - 6:30 AM to 7 PM. July to August - 6 AM to 7:30 PM. September to October - 6:30 AM to 7 PM. November to March - 7:30 AM to 6 PM.
Entry Fee: April to October - 40 Yuan ($6.04). November to March - 35 Yuan ($5.28). Half Price for child age 6-18 with valid passport proof.
Free Entry: Child height below 3.9 feet or age below 6 years old and seniors age above 60 with valid passport proof can get tickets free of charge at the ticket counter.
Other Cost: Cable Car - 100 Yuan ($15.09) for one way and 140 Yuan ($21.13) for round trip. Cable car runs from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Pulley - 80 Yuan ($12.07) for one way and 100 Yuan ($15.09) for round trip.
How to go: About 70 km from downtown Beijing. By bus 877 from Deshengmen to Badaling. By Bullet Train from Beijing North Railway Station or Qinghe Railway Station to Badaling Great Wall Railway Station. It takes 20-35 minutes and a second class seat fare 18-29 Yuan ($2.72-4.38). By S2 trains run from Huangtudian Railway Station to Badaling Railway Station, near the Huoying Station along subway line 8 and subway line 13. A single rail ride takes about 1.5 hours and the fare is 7 Yuan ($1.06). The entrance of Badaling Great Wall is 1.7 km from Badaling Railway Station, you can walk or take free shuttle buses to get there.

Day-19:

Juyong Pass

18-km long pass, also called Juyongguan, is one of the 3 greatest mountain passes of the Great Wall of China.
Visiting Time: April to October - 8 AM to 5 PM. November to March - 8 AM to 4 PM.
Entry Fee: April to October - 45 ($6.81) for height over 3.9 feet. November to March - 40 Yuan ($6.04) for height over 3.9 feet. Free for child height below 3.9 feet.
How to Visit: It is a circle loop. From south gate which is main entrance, you can start towards east or west. Start from east. After the half way, you will reach at north gate. You can take rest to continue rest of half way or come out through the gate. Take water and snacks.
How to go: From Badaling Bus Station, by bus 879 to get to Juyongguan.

Day-21:

Beijing Air and Space Museum

It covers an area of more than 1,000 acres. Asia's largest aircraft museum.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 8:30 AM to 5 PM for open area. 9 AM to 4:30 PM for halls. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Free. Cavern Exhibition Hall - 20 Yuan ($3.02), Integrated Hall - 20 Yuan ($3.02), Chairman Mao's special plane tour - 10 Yuan ($1.51).
How to go: It is located in Changping District. By subway line 5 to Tiantongyuanbei Station. Then by bus 643 to Hangkong Bowuguan (Aviation Museum) Station. Then, walk about 1110 meters towards north to the museum.



Day-22 and 23:

Jiankou Great Wall

This section of Great Wall of China, divided into three parts. Beijing Knot is the meeting point of three sections. From Beijing Knot to Nine-Eye Tower, middle part (Beijing Knot to Jiankou Spot), and south part (Jiankou Spot to Ox Horn Edge Wall). It needs 2 days trip to cover 3 parts. Accommodation is available in Xizhazi Village on the north of Great Wall and Wofo Mountain Villa on the south.
How to go: By Bus 916 Express from Dongzhimen Hub, near Dongzhimen Subway Station to Huairou North Avenue (Huairou Beidajie). From there, by bus line h36 to Tianxianyu and then walk to the entrance of Jiankou Great Wall.



Day 24:

Mutianyu Great Wall

Most Preserved section of Great Wall of China.
Visiting Time March 16 to November 15: Monday to Friday - 7:30 AM to 6 PM. Weekends - 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Visiting Time November 16 to March 15: 8 AM to 5 PM.
Entry Fee: 40 Yuan ($6.04). 20 Yuan ($3.02) for senior age above 60 and child height 3.9 to 4.6 feet. Free for child height below 3.9 feet.
Cable Car Cost: Adult - 120 for round trip and 100 for one way. Child - 50 for round trip and 60 for one way.
Chairlift or Toboggan Cost: Same as Cable Car.
How to go: By Tourist but from Dongzhimen Wai Bus Station. It departs at 8:30. It takes 1.5 - 2 hours and ticket fare is 30 Yuan ($4.53). By bus line 916 express to Huairou North Avenue (Huairou Beidajie) Station. Then by another bus h23, h24, h35 or h36 to Mutianyu Roundabout. Then walk about 3 kilometers to the ticket office.

Online Ticket: Choose options from online and skip the line for Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Return Transfer, Admission Fee, Cable Car and Guided Hiking options.



Day-25:

Simatai Great Wall

It is partially restored and only section opened for a night tour. It's length is 5.4 km.

Visiting Night Time November to March: Monday to Friday - 5:30 PM to 9 PM. Saturday and Sunday - 5:30 AM to 9:30 PM.

Accomodation: There is a Jinshan Hotel near the ticket counter.
How to go: By tourist bus from Dongzhimen to Gubei Water Town. First buse depart at 8 AM and takes about 2 hours and costs 48 Yuan ($7.24). Or by bus 980/ 980 Express from Dongzhimen to Miyun Xidaqiao. Then another bus 51 to Gubei Shuizhen (Gubei Water Town).



Day-26:

Jinshanling

It was built in 1368-1389 by Ming Dynasty. 5.1 km long, on an average 7 meters high and 5 meters wide with 31 watchtowers.
Accomodation: There is a Jinshan Hotel near the ticket counter.
How to go: By Subway Line 13 or 15 from Wangjing West Stop to Wanjjing West and Exit B or D, and walk 200 meters towards east.

Package: Jinshanling Great Wall Group Tour with Lunch and transport with guide.


Day-27:

Huangyaguan Great Wall

There are 2 entrance and distance 2.2 km. here a marathon race held on this section in the middle of May every year.
Visiting Time: 7:30 AM to 6 PM.

Temple of the Sun

How to go: It is located about 1.2 km from Beijing Ancient Observatory toward northeast at Ritan Park.


The China World Trade Center

330 meters height and 79 floors tower was built on August 30, 2010. It contains China World Hotel, Traders Hotel Beijing, China World Apartments, China World Mall, China World Exhibition Hall.
How to go: It is located about 1.5 km from Temple of the Sun towards southeast at the central business district of Beijing in Chaoyang District.


CCTV Headquarters

Landmark

234 meters, 51-story skyscraper was built on 16 May 2012.
How to go: About 1 km from World Trade Center towards north at 32 E 3rd Ring road Middle, Guo Mao in Chaoyang district.


Beijing Dongyue Temple

The Eastern Temple was built in 1319.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Entry Fee: 10 Yuan ($1.51).
How to go: It is located about 1.7 km from CCTV Headquarters towards northwest at 141 Chaoyangmen Outer St, Chaowai Subdistrict in Chaoyang district.

The Guozijian

It was first built in 1306. It was China's national university during the Yuan (1271-1368), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. Now it is a museum.
Visiting Time: May to October - 8:30 AM to 6 PM. November to April - 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: 30 Yuan ($4.53) for Guozijian + the Temple of Confucius. Free for child height below 3.9 feet.
How to go: It is located about 1.3 km from the north end of Nanluoguxiang street towards north at 13 Guozijian street, Dongcheng.


Beijing Temple of Confucius
