How to Reach Medan

By Air: Kualanamu International Airport (IATA code-MES) is about 40 km away from the Medan city.

Type your travel city name "Kuala Namu" in Destination box. Select your depart and return date. If one-way, click on the 'X' in the return date box. Click on search.

By Ferry: There is a ferry terminal at Balawan. From where you can travel to Penang, Malaysia and Batam and Jakarta in Indonesia.
By Bus: Bus service from Banda Aceh takes about 12 hours. Fare range from 110,000 Rupiah ($7.83) to 200,000 Rupiah ($14.23).

Maimun Palace

Maimun Palace is a royal palace of the Sultanate of Deli. Built by Sultan Ma'mun Al Rashid Perkasa Alamyah in years between 1887 to 1891.
Visiting Time: 8 AM to 5 PM. Friday: 8 AM to 12 PM, 2 PM to 5 PM.
Entry Fee: 10,000 Rupiah ($0.71).
How to go: It is situated at Jalan Sultan Ma'moen Al Rasyid No.66, A U R, Kec. Medan Maimun. About 2.5 km from Gunung Timur Temple.

State Museum of North Sumatra

Visiting Time: 8 AM to 3.30 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: 5,000 Rupiah ($0.36).
How to go: It is situated at Jl. HM. Joni No.51, Teladan Bar., Kec. Medan Kota. About 1.8 km from Maimun Palace toward southeast.


Day-3:

Wonders Water World

Nothing special. For local is good.
Visiting Time: Saturday and Sunday  10 AM to 8 PM. Tuesday to Friday - 1 PM to 7 PM. Monday remains close.
Entry Fee: 120,000 ($8.54).
How to go: About 3.8 km from State Museum of North Sumatra towards west.

Raksa Buana Great Temple

How to go: It is situated at Jl. Polonia No.216, Polonia, Kec. Medan Polonia. Not far from Wonders Water World.

J Walk

How to go: It is situated at Johor, Road Tourism, J City housing complex, Medan City.

Taman Wisata Merci

Also known as Merci Waterboom.
Visiting Time: Mondayto Friday - 1 PM to 6 PM, Saturday to Sunday 10 AM to 6 PM.
Entry Fee: Monday to Friday - 50,000 Rupiah ($3.56), Saturday - 60,000 Rupiah ($4.27), Weekend/ Holiday - 65,000 Rupiah ($4.63).
How to go: It is situated at Deli Tua, Deli Serdang Regency.

The Le Hu Garden

How to go: It is situated Jl. Pendidikan, Deli Tua Bar., Kec. Deli Tua, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. About 4.8 km from Taman Wisata Merci toards south.

Hairos Water Park

How to go: It is situated at Jl. Let. Jend Jl. Jamin Ginting No.Km. 14, RW.5, Namo Simpur, Kec. Pancur Batu, Kabupaten Deli Serdang.

Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni

Catholic Church

It is opened in 2005.
How to go: It is situated at Jl. Sakura III No.7-10, Tj. Selamat, Kec. Medan Tuntungan. About 8.2 km from Hairos Water Park towards North.

Kampung Ladang Outbound

Visiting Time: 8 AM to 6 PM.
Entry Fee: 5000 Rupiah ($0.36).
How to go: About 5.76 km from Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni towards south.

Armaya Nature

How to go: About 8 km from Kampung Ladang Outbound towards south.

Day-6:

Medan Bus station at Anugerah & Pusaka or Amplas Terminal Bus Station to Parapat bus station, fare is 40,000 Rupiah ($2.85). It takes about 6 hours. From Parapat you have to go by boat to Samosir Island. Boat price is 15000 Rupiah ($1.07).

Lake Toba

How to go: From Medan Cost: Mini van cost 80,000 Rupiah ($5.75). Public bus cost: 35,000 Rupiah – 40,000 Rupiah ($2.87).
Things to do around Lake Toba: Binangalom waterfall, Hike up Pusuk Buhit volcano, Batak Museum, Aek Rangat - natural hot spring, Tomok village, Tuk Tuk island, Batu Kursi Raja Siallagan in Ambarita, Lumban suhi-suhi village, Sipiso-piso waterfall, Samosir Villa Resort, Mas Cottages.
