Pico do Jaraguá

Mountain Peak

Jaraguá Peak is the highest mountain in the city of Sao Paulo, at 1135 meters above sea level. The Parque Estadual do Jaraguá was nominated as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visiting Time: 7 AM ti 5 PM every day.
How to go: It is located in Jaraguá State Park. The park is located about 20 km northwest of the city center. By bus to R. Antonio Cardoso Noguiera.

Museu da Imaginação

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM.
Entry Fee: 50 Real ($9) for adult. 25 Real ($4.5) for student, senior age over 60.
How to go: It is located about 8 km from Luz station towards west at Rua Ricardo Cavatton, 251 in Lapa de Baixo.


Latin America Memorial

Complex

The cultural, political and leisure complex was established on 18 March 1989.
How to go: It is located about 4.5 km from Museu da Imaginação towards east and 3 km from Luz station towards west at avenue Auro Soares de Moura Andrade, 664 in Barra Funda.

São Paulo antiga

Area

The name 'ancient São Paulo' clears that the area contains with classic buildings signed by renowned architects. The streets of the center, sharing spaces with wagons, trams and clunks. The old city hall, and halls scattered throughout the center.
How to go: It is located about 3 km east from Luz station.


Temple of Solomon

The Temple of Solomon is a replica of the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem. The temple was inaugurated on July 31, 2014.

Casa Caetano de Campos

Building

Casa Caetano de Campos inaugurated on August 2, 1894. The building was developed to host the First Normal School, which later known as 'Escola Normal Caetano de Campos. In addition, in 1934, it served as a support for the implementation of the University of São Paulo. Both transferred to the different places and the building was renovate around 1978. The building used as the headquarters of the São Paulo State Department of Education.
How to go: It is located about 1.2 km from Luz station towards southwest at Praça da República square, 53 in República.

Monument to the Independence of Brazil

Also known as the Ipiranga Monument is granite and bronze sculpture. The monument is located on the historic site where Emperor Pedro I of Brazil proclaimed the independence of the country on September 7, 1822. It was founded in 1922.
How to go: It is located on the bank of Ipiranga Brook river. About 4 km from the southeast end of Paulista Avenue at Praça do Monumento, s/n in Ipiranga.

How to go: It is located south side of Monument to the Independence of Brazil.
