Wuyuanwan Wetland Park

How to Go: From Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, it is located about 3.5 km towards southeast and about 8.5 km from Xiamen railway station towards northeast.

Xiamen Olympic Museum

Olympic-themed museum houses a rich collection of Olympic-related relics.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 9 AM to 4 PM.
How to Go: It is located about 7 km from Wuyuanwan Wetland Park through Beach side road at No 2017 Lyuling Road in Siming district.


Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center

It was founded in 1999.
How to go: It is located about 1.5 km from Xiamen Olympic Museum towards south.


Huangcuo Sand Beach

How to go: About 6 km long beach starts from near Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center and headed to southwest near Seaview Resort Xiamen till Xiamen Taiwan Folk Village.

Xiamen Taiwan Folk Village

Area

Originally created to depict life in Taiwan. A theater where Taiwanese-themed plays are staged and an exhibition hall with photographic displays of daily life in a traditional Taiwanese village. A man-made lake at the center of the village is based on the well-known 'Sun Moon Lake' in Taiwan.
You can watch the animal show, climb the Golden Mountain, from where you have a beautiful view of the sea or enjoy the amusement park. Just after the entrance, you can see the butterfly house.

How to go: It is located northwest from the west end of Huangcuo Sand Beach.

Day-2:

Baishi Fort Relic Site

Area

It is an important gateway for ships to enter Xiamen Port.
How to Go: It is located about 1.1 km from Xiamen Taiwan Folk Village towards southwest.


Yefengzhai

Beach

There is a amusement park nearby where Merry-Go-Round, Toss the Turtle, Bumper Car, Pirate Ship are available.
How to go: Located along the Huandao Road. By bus line 1 from Hubin South Bus Station to get off at the Yefengzhai Station.


Hulishan Cannon Fort

The construction began in 1894 during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and completed in 1896. It is consists of barracks, a tunnel, a magazine and other fortified buildings.
Two large cannons once guarded the east and south sides, but only one remains. These cannons produced in 1886 were bought from Germany. Between the east and south batteries is a tunnel where 29 cannons are now on display.
There is Rongguang Museum inside the premises. It exhibits ancient firecrackers, guns, swords and unusual natural stones from around the world. It also exhibits the world's smallest cannon, which was made by the Portuguese in the 13th century.
Visiting Time: April to October - 7:30 AM to 6 PM. November to March - 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Entry Fee: 25 Yuan ($3.66).
How to Go: It is located about 2 km from Yefengzhai Beach towards west through beach side road near Baicheng Beach.


Furong Tunnel

Long tunnel under a mountain, a pedestrian street for Xiamen University student.
How to go: It is located north of Hulishan Cannon Fort.


Baicheng Beach

How to go: It is located east of Hulishan Cannon Fort and south of Xiamen University.

Yanwu Bridge

2.2 km long bridge opened on Sep 6, 2003. It is considered to be the closest bridge to the sea level in the world.
How to go: It starts from the west side of Baicheng Beach.



Day-3:

Yuanlin Botanical Garden

There is sightseeing bus for 10 Yuan ($1.46).
Visiting Time: May to 7th October - 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM. 8th October to April - 6:30 AM to 6 PM.
Entry Fee: 40 Yuan ($5.85).
How to Go: By bus 87 or 943 to Zhiwuyuan, or bus 3, 17, 19, 21, 32, 139, 659, 959, or 857 to Yizhong and walk 300 meters. It is located in 25 Huyuan Road, Siming Distric.


South Putuo Temple

Buddhist Temple

During the final years of the Tang dynasty (618-907 AD), Buddhist monks who inhabited the place had established it into a sacred Buddhist temple.
Around the beginning of the Qing dynasty, the temple buildings were rebuilt and expanded in 1684. A shrine hall for Guanyin Bodhisattva was installed and worshiped.
Minnan Buddhist College was set up in 1925. The temple damaged by the red guards during Cultural Revolution and was converted into a factory. The temple was renovated in the 1980s.
How to go: About 600 meters northwest from the west end of Furong Tunnel.


Overseas Chinese Museum

It exhibits the life of Chinese people living overseas, with historical & cultural artifacts.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 4:30 PM.
Entry Fee: Free.
How to go: It is located 630 meters from South Putuo Temple towards northwest at 493 South Siming Road.


Hongshan Park

Must see the west gate of the park.
How to Go: There is a Hongshan Temple. A narrow lane leading to the park from the rear of the temple.


Xiamen Ferry Terminal

You may not buy ferry ticket from here cause it is for local only. Foreigner should go to the International Ferry Terminal. Gulangyu island return ferry cost 35 Yuan ($5.12).
How to go: It is located about 1.5 km from Hongshan Park west gate towards northwest at 15 Lujiang Ave, Siming District.


Railway Culture Park

Zhongshan Park

Must see the south gate of the park.
How to Go: It is located 600 meters from Railway Culture Park towards northwest.



Day-4:

Bailuzhou Park

How to go: It is located about 3 km from Xiamen railway station towards northwest.

Xiamen International Cruise Center

Ferry Terminal

Foreign tourist can buy ticket for any island from here.
How to go: It is located 800 meters northwest of Bailuzhou Park.


Huweishan Park

Xiamen Science and Technology Museum

Visiting Time: 9 AM to 5 PM.
Entry Fee: 40 Yuan ($5.85) for adult. 20 Yuan ($2.92) for child height below 1.2-1.4 meters, senior age 60-69. Free for child height below 1.2 meter and age above 70.
How to go: It is located about 1.5 km from Huweishan Park towards northeast.

Dongdu Wharf

Dapingshan Suburbs Park

How to go: It is located few hundred meters from west end of Haicang Bridge towards northwest.

Haicangwan Park

How to Go: It is located about 2 km from west end of Haicang Bridge towards southwest.

Day-6: Gulangyu

Gulangyu is Island is located in the southwest corner of Xiamen Island. Gulangyu was listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Architectures, coastal scenery and artistic shops.
By ferry Xiagu Wharf to Sanqiutian Wharf, ferry operates from 7:15 AM to 6:30 (June-September) or 5:30 (October-May). Return ferry cost 35 Yuan ($5.12) for adult, half for height 1.2 to 1.4 meters and free for height below 1.2 meters. It takes 20 minutes to reach. At night from 7:50 PM to 6:30 AM (next day), ferry operates from Hall 2 of Xiamen Lundu Ferry Terminal near Zhongshan Road, to Sanqiutian Wharf. The roundtrip fare is 35 Yuan ($5.12) and it takes about 7 minutes. Passports are required when buying the tickets. Return ticket passenger can stay maximum 20 days in the island.


Gulangyu Msm of Foreign Collections

It exhibits the collection of foreign cultural relics of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Entry Fee: 50 Yuan ($7.31).
How to go: It is located northeast end of Gulangyu island north of Sanqiutian Wharf.


American Consulate Former Site

Landmark

The former site of the US Consulate. The office was moved from Xiamen island to here in 1865, and the consulate was rebuilt in 1930.
Visit: You cannot enter into the house. Just watch it from outside.
How to go: It is located west of Sanqiutian Wharf.


Gulangyu Organ Museum

Only one organ museum across China and world's largest Organ Museum.
Visiting Time: 8:15 AM to 5:45 PM.
Entry Fee: 15 Yuan ($2.19) for adult. 7.5 Yuan ($1.10) for child height 1.2-1.4 meter and senior age 60-69. Free for height below 1.2 meter and age above 70. 90 Yuan ($13.16) for combined ticket (Sunlight Rock + Bright Moon Garden + Organ Museum + International Lettering Art Gallery + Shuzhuang Garden).
How to go: About 350 meters from American Consulate Former Site towards south at 43 Guxin Road in Siming District.


Xiamen Undersea World

Gulangyu Wharf

How to go: It is located east of Xiamen Undersea World.

Hi Heaven

Cultural Center

It consists of 5 buildings, of which 3 are opened to the public, namely No.34, No. 38 and No.42. No.34 is a café. No. 38 is an art gallery exhibits the past stories of the old villas and the celebrities once living there. No.42 is a performance center for ancient South Music and Puppet Show.
How to go: It is located about 300 meters from Gulangyu Wharf towards straight south.


Haoyue Park

Also known as Bright Moon Garden. Haoyue Garden is a memorial garden for Zheng Chenggong. The statue of Zheng Chenggong is a symbol of Gulangyu. You can also enjoy the veiw of Xiamen island's Xiamen Twin Towers, and The Grand Bridge across the river. There is an exhibition hall of Zheng Chenggong's miniature sculptures.
There is a beach at the east side of the Park and one is south side of the park.
Entry Fee: 15 Yuan ($2.19). 90 Yuan ($13.16) for combined ticket (Sunlight Rock + Bright Moon Garden + Organ Museum + International Lettering Art Gallery + Shuzhuang Garden).
How to go: It is located southeast of Hi Heaven.


Yuyuan Garden

How to go: It is located about 250 meters from the south end of south beach of Haoyue Park towards northwest.

Xiamen Kulangsu Scenery Spot-Guanhaiyuan Sandy Beach

How to go: It is located southwest of Yuyuan Garden.

Shuzhuang Garden

Founded in 1913. Garden is divided into two parts: Bushan Garden and Zanghai Garden. Bushan Garden is the rockery and there are twelve caves with twelve zodiacs inlaid in each cave. In ZangHai Park, bridge of forty-four is the best point for viewing the sea.

Gulangyu Piano Museum

The museum exhibits more than 100 world-famous ancient pianos.
Visiting Time: 8:15 AM to 6 PM.

How to go: It is located in Shuzhuang Garden at 45, Huangyan Road.


Gangzaihou Public Beach

How to go: It is located west side of Gulangyu Piano Museum.

Gulangyu International Calligraphic Carving

It is the only large-scale and high-grade international sculpture art gallery in the world.

How to go: It is located opposite of Shuzhuang Garden.


Sunlight Rock

Also called Longtou Mountain. It is composed of two parts: Sunshine Rock and Qin Yuan. Highest peak is 92.7 meters.
When the sun rises, the morning light illuminates the granite in Sunlight Temple.
Entry Fee: 50 Yuan ($7.31).
How to go: It is located straight to the south of Gulangyu.


Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall

Zheng Chenggong was an iconic hero during the Ming Dynasty. The hall exhibits his valor and achievements.
How to go: It is located at the foot of Sunlight Rock at 73 Yongchun Road, Siming District.

Xiamen Bridge

6695 meters long highway cross-sea bridge was built in May 1991. It has been China's first bridge crossing the sea.
How to go: It is located on the northwest area of Xiamen Island.


Jimei Bridge

Total lenght 10.057 km highway bridge was opened on July 1, 2008.
How to go: It is located northeast end of Xiamen Island and north of Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport.


Mr. Chen Jiageng Former Residence

Landmark

The building was completed in June 1918.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 9 AM to 5 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Free.
How to go: It is located about 2 km from the north side of Jimei Bridge toards southwest at 149 Jiageng Road, Jimei District.


Taihua Ancient Temple

Buddhist Temple

Taihua Temple, also known as the Foyan Temple, was founded by the first Yunnan Zen master Xuanjian.
Inside the Premises: Hall of Heavenly King, The Great Buddha’s Hall, Dabei Pavilion (Great Mercy Pavilion), Sizhao Room, Wanqing Building.
Visiting Time: 8 AM to 5:30 PM.
Entry Fee: 6 Yuan ($0.38).
How to go: It is located about 31 km north from Jimei Bridge near Airport on the mountiainside of Taihua Hill in Kunming Xishan Forest Park. Taihua Hill has Dianchi Lake to its east, Huating Hill, Biji Mountain to its north. It is the highest peak in the Western Hills.


Xishanyan Temple

How to go: It is located on the way of Taihua Ancient Temple, about 19 km from Jimei Bridge near Airport in Tongan.

Tong'an Movie & TV City

Area

How to go: It is located about 9 km from Xishanyan Temple towards east. There is no direct subway, from the island can only take the subway to Jimei Avenue after transfer bus. It is located at Xiyang Road in Tongan.


* Note that, there are Yunding Mountain, Garden of Eden Happy Farmhouse, Tingxi Resorvoir, Beichenshan Park are located far north of Tong'an Movie & TV City, that you may visit.


* Note that, there are many temples near south of the Tong'an Movie & TV City, you may visit. Such as - Chengxi Palace, Chenghan Pavilion, Tong'an Confucian Temple, Gongfeng Temple, Bixi Temple, Zhengyi Palace, Lianhu Palace Dijun Temple, Longhu Palace and etc.


Day-8:

Fantawild Water Park

Day-9:

Xiangshan Park

How to go: It is located about 14 km from Fantawild Water Park towars southeast in the east of Xiamen City and the southeast of Xiang'an District, at the southern foot of the Hongjian Mountains in Xiamen.


* Note that, there are many temples near west and southwest of the Xiangshan Park. Such as - Weiling Temple, Sufu King's Palace, Pu'an Palace, Shanqingtang, Tongchun Palace etc.
