How to Reach Keelung City

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (IATA Code-TPE) is an international airport in Taoyuan City.
I always use the following app to buy air tickets. Because this app shows the cheapest tickets on all airlines. I can buy tickets as per my requirement. Enter the country you are going to. Then enter your departure and arrival date. Click on search.


From Taoyuan airport to Keelung City, You have to go via Taipei City.
From Airport to Taipei:
MRT from the airport terminal to Taipei Main Station takes about 35 minutes. Ticket price is NTD 160 ($5.35). The MRT departs from 6.05 AM to 11.35 PM.
The shuttle bus is the cheapest option. Bus no 1960, heading towards the Xinyi District. Ticket cost NTD 145 ($4.85) and the bus runs from 6.05 AM to 1.05 AM. Bus no. 1819 runs 24 hours and ticket cost NTD 125 ($4.18). Bus no. 1961 runs until 1 AM and ticket cost NTD 90 ($3.01).
From Taipei to Keelung:
From Taipei Main Station Local Train fare is NTD 41 ($1.37). It leave every 15-20 minutes all day.
From Taipei Main Station exit M2 and go to bus terminal for Kuo Kuang. Bus 1813 goes to Keelung. Bus fare NTD 55 ($1.84) and it takes about 50 minutes.

How to go: About 1.3 km from Lion Park towards south through seaside Huhai Road. It is located in Anle District.

Lovers Lake Park

How to go: Walk about 500 meters from Dawulun Beach towards east through the seaside beautiful walkway. You will see a temple. From where the Haixing Trail starts towards up hill. It is 1 km trail. After half an hour walk you will see a lover's tower. After 5 minutes walk from tower, you will see Lion's Rock. From where you can see the beautiful view of Dawulun Beach. From here another 5 minutes walk will take you to the Lover's Lake.

Dawulun Fort

The fort was built in 1820 by Qing dynasty for military base to safeguard the west side of Keelung Harbor. During the Opium War in 1840 and Sino-French War in 1894, Qing Dynasty sent military forces to guard the place.
How to go: Through Haixing Trail, you will see the two intersection. straight road leads to Lover's Lake and Left road leads to the fort.

Waimushan Shore Walk

Officially 5 km, a beautiful seaside walking path from Waimushan Fishing Harbor to Dawulun Beach. It is a Waimushan Seaside Scenic Area.

How to go: It is about 240 meters from Maritime Plaza towards east at 236, Rener Road in Ren’ai District.

Zhongzheng Park

There is a 25-meter high white statue of Goddess of Mercy in the park
Inside the Premises: There are a historic canon fort, a Buddhist library, Martyrs' Shrine and Zhuputan Temple inside the park.
How to go: About 150 meters from E-Square towards north.

Inner Harbor of Keelung

Badouzi Fishing Harbor

It is the largest fishing port in northern Taiwan. There is also a Badouzi Weekend Night Market nearby.
How to go: It is located at 211, Beining Road, Zhongzheng District.
