Shenzhen is a city in the province of Guangdong, China.
Shenzhen is bordering Hong Kong to the south, Huizhou to the northeast and Dongguan to the northwest, and shares maritime boundaries with Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Zhuhai to the west and southwest.
Shenzhen is divided into 9 districts (Futian, Luohu, Nanshan, Yantian, Bao'an, Longgang, Pingshan, Longhua, Guangming) and one management new area (Dapeng New District). Districts are divided into 74 sub-districts.



How to Reach Shenzhen

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (IATA Code- SZX) is located on the east bank of the Pearl River in Bao'an District. It is 32 km northwest of the city center.
Buy a cheapest air-ticket from below site. This is my favorite site because it shows the different airline ticket prices of the same flight. So it makes easy for me to buy the lowest price ticket. Select your depart and return date. If one-way then click cross on the return date.


* Fuyong Ferry Terminal also known as Shenzhen Airport Fuyong Wharf is located south side of next to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, on the bank of the Pearl River, in the Fuyong Subdistrict of Bao'an District.

How to go: By Metro to Daxin metro station Exit B and walk about 15 minutes to 3008 Yueliangwan Avenue, Nantou in Nanshan District.


Nantou Ancient City

Also called 'Walled City'. The history of Nantou dates back to 331 CE. It was the administrative center of Bao'an and European settlements. In 736 CE, during the Tang dynasty, the city was fortified with imperial troops. The current walled city was built in 1394.
How to go: It is located about 1.22 km from Dutch Flowers Town towards southeast. By Metro to Daxin metro station exit A. Walk about 700 meters north. Turn right at the signpost for ‘nantou ancient town museum’. Walk about 400 meters and cross a spiral bridge. By Bus 42, 78, 201, 301, 311, 338, 395, m200, m371 to  Nantou.


Nantou Ancient City Museum

It exhibits the history of the city in Shenzhen in 1677.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 9:30 AM to 5 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Free.
How to go: It is located in Nantou Ancient City at 2, Nanchang in Nanshan District.


Shenzhen Bay Sports Center

Indoor Stadium

It was built in 2009-2011.
How to go: It is located about 4 km from Nantou Ancient City towards southeast end near Shenzhen Bay.


Shenzhen Talent Park

How to go: It is located south side of Shenzhen Bay Sports Center and north side of Shenzhen Bay Park in Nanshan district.


Day-2:

Shenzhen Safari Park

How to go: By metro line 7 to Xili Lake Station, and walk northeast around 1 kilometer. There are many buses go to Dongwuyuan Station (Park).



Day-3:

Overseas Chinese Town

The area features a number of theme parks, such as Window of the World, Happy Valley Shenzhen, Splendid China and Chinese Folk Culture Village.
To not to be confused, there are same name 'Overseas Chinese Town' are located different places in Shenzhen. Such as Overseas Chinese Town East in Yantian and Overseas Chinese Town Bay.

Visiting Time: 10 AM to 9 PM.
Entry Fee: 230 Yuan
($35.97) for adult. 120 Yuan ($18.77) for child height 3.9 feet - 4.9 feet. Night ticket 100 Yuan ($15.64) for adult. Inside the park Tour Car ride price 10-30 Yuan ($1.56-4.69) and small Train ride 20-30 Yuan ($3.13-4.69).
How to go: It is located in Nanshan District. By Metro Line 1 or Line 2 to Window of the World station, exit A and walk to there.


Window of the World

There are replicas of wonders in the world and many other notable landmark.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 10 PM.
Entry Fee: 220 Yuan
($34.4) for adult and 110 Yuan ($17.2) for child height 3.9 feet - 4.9 feet.
How to go: It is located about 300 meters south of Happy Valley. By metro Line 1 (Luobao Line) or Line 2 to Shijie Zhichuang (Window of the World) station and exit J.


He Xiangning Art Museum

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 9:30 AM to 5 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: 20 Yuan
($3.13).
Free Entry: Friday.
How to go: It is located east side of Window of the World at 9013 Shennan Avenue, Hua Qiao Cheng in Nanshan District.


Hua Art Museum

How to go: It is located east side of He Xiangning Art Museum in Nanshan District.



Day-4:

Splendid China Folk Village

Many festivals are held at this place such as the Water-splashing Festival of Dai (14th to 16th April), the Torch Festival of Yi (24th to 26th day of sixth lunar month), and the Knife Bar Festival of Lisu (2nd day of 2nd lunar month, mostly in March).
Visiting Time: 10 AM to 9:30 PM. June to August - 10 AM to 10:30 PM.
Entry Fee: 220 Yuan ($34.4) for adult. 110 Yuan ($17.2) for senior age above 70 and child height 3.9 feet to 4.9 feet.
How to go: By metro Line 1 (Luobao Line) to Huaqiaocheng (OCT) Station. Exit D, and walk towards east.

Shenzhen International Garden

How to go: It is located at the east side of Overseas Chinese Town at 8002 Shennan Road in Futian District. By metro line 1 to “Qiaocheng East Station”, exit A, and walk 300 meters towards east.

Ping'an International Financial Center

Skyscraper

599 meters tall 115-story skyscraper was built in 2017. It is the 2nd tallest building in China and the 4th tallest building in the world. It has the highest observation deck in a building at 562 meters.
Observation Visiting Time: 9 AM to 10 PM every day. Must bring your passport. Choose the time just before sunset. So you can enjoy both day and night view.
Observation Entry Fee: 200 Yuan ($31.28).
How to go: 1.82 km from Contemporary Art & Planning Exhibition museum towards southwest at 5033 Yitian Road in Futian District.



Day-6:

Huanggang Port

Port

Huanggang Port is the entry point between mainland China and Hong Kong.
How to go: It is located about 3.5 km from Ping'an skyscraper towards southwest in the Futian District of Shenzhen, China and Lok Ma Chau in Hong Kong.

Pedestrian Street

Dongmen Pedestrian Street is the first and one of the most popular shopping streets in Shenzhen. Started in the middle of Ming Dynasty (1368 BC – 1644 BC).
How to go: Dongmen Market is south to Lixin Road, north to Shennan Road, west to Middle Dongmen Road and east to Xinyuan Road in Luohu District.

Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden

1,349.20-acre garden. Hongfa Temple is located inside the premises.
Visiting Time: 6 AM to 11 PM.
Entry Fee: 20 Yuan ($3.13) for adult. 10 Yuan ($1.56) for children height 1.1 meter -1.4 meter and senior age above 60.
How to go: It is located at the foot of Wutong Mountain, Liantang Subdistrict, Luohu District.


Hongfa Temple

Buddhist temple was built in 1985. The temple consists of forty buildings.
How to go: It is located at the foot of Wutong Mountain in Botanical Garden.


Qiushuishan Park

How to go: It is located about 2 km from Shenzhen Art Museum towards north. West side of the lake.

Dafen Art Museum

Visiting Time: 9 AM to 6:30 PM.
How to go: It is located in Dafen Oil Painting Village. About 1.5 km from Qiushuishan Park towards northwest.


Gankeng Hakka Small Town

How to go: Gankeng metro station line 10. It is located in Gankeng Hakka Small Town, 18 Ganli Road, Buji Subdistrict, Longgang District.



Day-9:

Yantian Waterfront Boardwalk

19.5 km coastal green way.
How to go: It starts from Zhongying Street Guta Park in the west and runs along the golden coastline. It connects Shatoujiao, Yantian Port, Dameisha and East to Xiaomeisha.


Overseas Chinese Town East

OCT East is an area contains 3 themed parks, such as Knight Valley, Tea Stream Valley, and Wind Valley (Golf field). Temples and you can enjoy performance at Heavenly Zen.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 6 PM.

How to go: It is lcoated northeast end of Jiaochangwei Beach. About 700 meters from Dapeng City Station in Pengcheng Village, Dapeng subdistrict, Longgang district.


Daya Bay

Also known as Bias Bay.
How to go: It is located southeast side of Dapeng Fortress.


* There are many other places to visit at this penisula, such as Yang Mei Keng Beach, Dongchong Sand Beach, Xichong Beach, Xiaqisha Beach, Qiniangshan Mountain.


Day-12:

Sanmen Island

How to go: From Dongchong Sand Beach, Dongshan Village, it takes 35-40 minutes for ferry and 25-30 minutes for yacht. From Longqi Yacht Club wharf, it takes 30-35 minutes for ferry and 20-25 minutes for yacht. From deepwater group resort wharf, it takes 25-30 minutes for ferry and 18-23 minutes for yacht. From Nan'ao port wharf, it takes 45-50 minutes for ferry and 30-35 minutes for yacht.
