Frederick C. Robie House
House
It is designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was stated to build on April 15, 1909 for 28 years old Robie and his wife, Lora Hieronymus Robie. The Robie family moved into the home in May 1910. Robie was forced to sell the house in 1911. David Lee Taylor bought this house. After his death, his widow sold this house and bought by Marshall D. Wilber in November 1912. Wilber sold the house to the Chicago Theological Seminary in June 1926. They used it as a dormitory and dining hall.
On March 1, 1957, the Seminary planned to demolish the Robie House. Later the building was donated to the University of Chicago in February 1963. In January 1997 the University moved their offices.
The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust began restoration of the Robie House to its original appearance in 1910. The restoration was completed in 2019.

Glessner House

John Jacob Glessner (1843–1936) was a partner in a farm of machinery manufacturer named 'Warder, Bushnell & Glessner' in Springfield, Ohio. Glessner relocated to Chicago and opened a branch office in 1870. Glessner House was built in 1887.
After John Glessner died in 1936, the family deeded the house to the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1937. The house was sold to a group of architects in 1966. The house opened for public tours in 1971.
Visiting Time: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday - 11:30 AM, 1 PM, and 2:30 PM by advance ticket only. Ticket sales end at midnight the day before the tour.

Jane Addams Hull-House Museum

The original Hull-House was built in 1856 by Charles Jerald Hull. Charles Hull gave this house to his niece Helen Culver. Helen Culver gave it to Jane Adams for 25 years of rent-free. Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr established a settlement house in 1889. Hull House had expanded to 13 buildings by 1911. A summer camp, the Bowen Country Club was built in 1912.
In the mid-1960s, most of the Hull House buildings were demolished for the construction of the University of Illinois-Chicago. The original building and one additional building are still remains. It is now maintained as a history museum.

Sullivan Center

In 1872, the Leopold Schlesinger and David Mayer decided to open a dry-food store. In 1881 Schlesinger and Mayer had moved their dry-goods store into the Bowen Building. In 1890, Schleinger and Mayer hired Adler and Louis Henry Sullivan (an American architect, and has been called a "father of skyscrapers") to prepare plans for the Bowen Building renovation. In 1898, Schlesinger and Mayer decided to remove the original building with a 9-storey building designed by Sullivan and built in 1899. In 1902 the building was expanded to 12-storey building by Sullivan. The building was sold to Otto Young after 1904. Otto Young leased the building to Carson Pirie Scott Departmental Store. Carson Pirie Scott occupied the building until February 2007.

Charles Norman Fay, a Chicago businessman, invited Theodore Thomas to establish an orchestra in Chicago in 1890. Under the name "Chicago Orchestra," the orchestra played its first concert October 16, 1891 at the Auditorium Theater.
Orchestra Hall was built in 1904. The orchestra was renamed "Theodore Thomas Orchestra" in 1905. The orchestra was renamed the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1913.

Previous name was The John Hancock Center is a 457 meters tall 100-floor skyscraper was built in 1965-1969. Then it was the 2nd tallest building in the world. Its name was changed to 875 North Michigan Avenue on February 12, 2018.

The house was completed in 1892 for Charnley, a Chicago resident. Originally designed by architect Louis Sullivan. The house was purchased by a firm 'Skidmore, Owings and Merrill' in 1986. Seymour Persky purchased the house in 1995 and donated to The Society of Architectural Historians. The society renamed the building and operating as a museum and organization headquarters.
