How to Reach South Sikkim

By Air: The nearest airport of South Sikkim is Bagdogra airport in Siliguri.
Buy a cheapest air-ticket from below site. This is my favorite site because it shows the different airline ticket prices of the same flight. So it makes easy for me to buy the lowest price ticket.
Type your travel city name "Bagdogra" in Destination box. Select your depart and return date. If one-way, click on the 'X' in the return date box. Click on search.



You can reach South Sikkim from Darjeeling via Jorethang or from Gangtok.
Shared Jeep Rates-
Darjeeling to Jorethang 120 Rupee
Jorethang to Namchi 35 Rupee
Siliguri to Namchi via Meli Bazar 140 Rupee
Gangtok to Ravangala shared jeeps available between 7 AM to 10 AM. Fare 100 Rupee per person.

Namchi Rock Garden

How to go: It is situated at the base of Samdruptse hill. 3 km from Namchi.

Namchi Ropeway

Cable Car

2.1 km long passenter ropeway. The cable car start from the rock garden to Samdruptse, where the statue of Guru Padmasambhava is located. While coming down, there are two options, take the ropeway or a car as you wish.
Cost: Roundtrip Rs.150 and single trip Rs.100.
Visiting Time: 10 AM to 4 PM.
How to go: 6 km from Namchi Taxi stand.

Needs to climb up about 250 meters from the parking area. There is a 148 feet statue of Guru Padmasambhava which consider the world’s tallest Padmasambhava statue.


Day-2:

Temi Tea Garden

Tea Garden

It is established in 1969. It is 29 km from Namchi and only tea garden in Sikkim.


After visiting the garden start for Ravangla, the small town. It is 26 km from Namchi and 20 km from Temi Garden. Take hotel and stay at night.
