How to Reach Gangtok
By Air: Nearest Airport is Bagdogra Airport, NJP.Buy a cheapest air-ticket from below site. This is my favorite site because it shows the different airline ticket prices of the same flight. So it makes easy for me to buy the lowest price ticket.
Type your travel city name "Bagdogra" in Destination box. Select your depart and return date. If one-way, click on the 'X' in the return date box. Click on search.
From airport you have to come by private taxi or shared Jeep. By Shared Jeep
NJP to Gangtok: Rs. 200 per person
Siliguri to Gangtok: Rs. 200 per person
Darjeeling to Gangtok: Rs. 175 per person
Kalimpong to Gangtok: Rs. 150 per person
Rangpo is the entry point of Sikkim and check post area. Jeep reaches Gangtok via Singtam and Ranipool after rangpo.
Entry Formalities for Gangtok
Foreigners must obtain Inner Line Permit (ILP) to visit Sikkim. These can be obtained from all Indian Missions, Sikkim Tourism Offices at New Delhi, Kolkata, District Magistrates Office of Darjeeling, Siliguri, and Rangpo. The 30 days duration Permit is issued on the spot. You have to submit photocopies of the passport and visa along with two passport size photos of the applicants. The permissible duration of the stay for foreign tourists is 30 days initially.You can extend the permit later from Gangtok.

* 7 Points Half Day (3 Points + Bakthang Waterfall, Enchey Monastery, Flower Exhibition Center, Handicraft Center). Rate Rs. 1200.
* 10 Points Half Day (7 Points + Chorten Stupa, Institute of Tibetology and Ropeway Cable Car). Rate 1500 Rs.
* 10 Points Full Day (Tashi View Point, Ranka or Lingdum Monastery, Ban Jhakri Waterfall, Rumtek Monastery, Nehru Botanical Garden, Shanti View Point, Enchey Monastery, Ganesh Tok, Ropeway, Institute of Tibetology). Rate Rs. 2000.
Those who just want only to visit these places without any pain, they can take any packages. Actually I don’t like this way. Cause It is only attending the places and take some selfie, nothing else.

Day-1
If you consider your arriving day is the day-1. First you have to take hotel. Then walk nearby. If you want package tour, today you have to talk to your hotel to get package for tomorrow.

StreetIt is a popular street in Gangtok. Tourist and also local people gathering at this street. There are different types of shops, Malls situated both side of the street. Remember that, this street is smoking free zone.
Mahatma Gandhi Statue
StatueHow to go: It is located at MG Road. Near Thakurbari Temple.
Golden Gaming
Game ZoneThere are different types of games inside. Just another version of Casino.
How to go: It is situated at MG Marg.
Casino Deltin Denzong
CasinoIt is open 24 hours.

Namnang View Point
Mountain View PointAlso known as Suicide point. It’s nothing special but early in the morning you can walk to this place.

Rope way
Cable CarRope-way cable car that goes down to near the Dro-dul Chorten Buddhist stupa.
Ticket Price: Adult Rs.110 and Child below 6 years Rs.70 for round trip ticket. Video camera charges Rs.100.

MonasteryThe stupa was built in 1945.

Saramsa Garden

How to go: 1 hour drive from Gangtok to Ranipool. About 2.8 km from Ranipool bus stop.
Casino Mahjong
CasinoHow to go: It is about 3 km from Saramsa Garden towards Gangtok. About 500 meters from Ranipool Bus stop.
Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden
ParkIt was established in 1987.
How to go: It is about 1 km from Casino Mahjong towards Gangtok.
Comeback before 4.15 PM at rope-way point.
After coming back by rope-way keep visiting.
Tsuk La Khang Monastery
Buddhist MonasteryHow to go: 500 meters walking distance from rope-way.
Ridge Park
Flower GardenThere is a Flower Exhibition Center inside the premises.

How to go: 1 km uphill from Ridge Park.
Ganesh Tok
Hindu TempleA temple of Lord Ganesh. It's located at an altitude of 6,500 feet

How to go: Opposite of Ganesh Tok.
Plant Conservatory

Lhasa Falls
WaterfallSmall waterfall, 1 km away from Plant Conservatory towards Tashi view point.
More 1 km from this falls you will reach at Tashi View Point. Take a hotel nearby. Then go to view point and enjoy sunset.

Buddhist MonasteryShared jeeps are available from Gangtok to Rumtek. Fare Rs.50. But shared jeep may not be available after 12 PM from Rumtek, so plan accordingly.
Lingdum Monastery
Buddhist MonasteryAlso known as Ranka Monastery. It was completed in 1999.

How to go: 7 km from Gangtok.
Come back to Gangtok and talk to package for Tsomgo Lake tomorrow.
It is difficult to travel to Tsomgo Lake, Nathu La and Baba Temple without a group tour. The Protected Area Permit/Inner Line Permit is also required to visit these places. So best option is group tour by agency. Costs Rs.700 per person with (Nathu La) and Rs.400 (without Nathu La) on sharing basis. Book the tour on previous day of journey. That’s mean today.
Day-5
Tsomgo Lake
LakeAlso known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake, at an altitude of 12313 feet. It is 40 km from Gangtok.
Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple
Hindu TempleLocated at an altitude of 13123 feet and 52 km from Gangtok.
Nathu La
High Altitude PassLocated at an altitude of 14,140 feet and 56 km from Gangtok.
After visiting this half day tour with package, the Jeep will return via Hanuman Tok road. inform the driver to leave you there.
Hanuman Tok
Hindu TempleAt an altitude of 7200 feet. Hanuman Tok is the highest point in Gangtok.
How to go: 11 km from Gangtok town. After coming back from Tsomgo Lake, Jeep will return Gangtok via Honuman tok. Just tell driver to leave you there.
