By Air: The nearest airport of West Sikkim is Bagdogra in Siliguri.

Yuksom

It was the first capital of Sikkim. It is the base camp for trekking to Mt. Khangchendzonga and gateway for visiting Khangchendzonga National Park.

Day-4:

Khangchendzonga National Park

Natural Park

A UNESCO’s World Heritage Site.
The entrance of National Park is 2 kilometers away from the Yuksom village, but you have to get your entry permit and camera permit from Khangchendzonga National Park (KNP) check post in Yuksom market. Required documents are Passport sized photographs and photocopies of identity proof such as passport and visa photocopy. You must have to book a Forest Department Guide. There are restriction on number of visitor entry per day in the park. So avoid Govt. Holidays.

For Indian Nationals:
Rs.350 per head for the first 7 days.
Rs.40 per head per day for additional days.
For Foreign Nationals:
Rs.560 per head for the first 7 days.
Rs.80 per head -per day for additional days.
For Students (Indian Nationals):
Rs.80 per head for the first 7 days
Rs.20 per head per day for additional days.
For Local Guides and Porters with the Team: Rs.10 per head per day
Tent Pitching Charge: Rs.50 per tent per day
Bed Charges in Log Hut: Rs.100 per bed per day
