Udaipur is a district of Udaipur division in Rajasthan state, India. Udaipur also known as the "City of Lakes". Udaipur was founded in 1558 by Maharana Udai Singh II of Mewar dynasty, when he shifted his capital from Chittorgarh to Udaipur after Chittorgarh was besieged by emperor Akbar.

By Air: Maharana Pratap Airport in Udaipur (IATA Code - UDR).

The site contains more than 250 cenotaphs of the maharajas of Mewar that were built over approximately 350 years
Visiting Time: 6 AM to 6 PM.

How to go: It is situated at Ganapati Nagar near Shabri Colony. 560 meters from Rana Pratap Nagar Railway Station.


Vintage and Classic Car Museum

Car Museum

Showing all the vehicles belonging to the Maharanas of Mewar both past and present. This museum is owned by Arvind Singh Mewar.
Entry Fee: Rs.150 for adults and Rs.95 for children.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 9 PM.
How to go: It is near RMV Girls College, Lake Palace Road and Gulab Bagh and Zoo.


Gulab Bagh and Zoo

Garden and Zoo

Gulab Bagh is the largest garden in Udaipur also known as Sajjan Niwas Garden. It was built in 1881 by Maharana Sajjan Singh.
Visiting Time: 8 AM to 6 PM.
Garden Entry Fee: Rs.25
Zoo Entry Fee: Rs.5 per person and Rs.15 for camera.
How to go: It is situated at Bapu Bazar Road, In Sajjan Niwas Bagh, Gulab bagh, Khanjipeer.


Doodh Talai Lake

Musical Garden Lake

Also known as Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Park.
Musical Fountain Show Time: 6 PM to 8 PM.
Visiting Time: 8 AM to 10 PM.
Entry Fee: Rs.10.
How to go: It is adjacent to the Lake Pichola. About 1 km from Gulab Bagh.


Karni Mata Ropeway

Cable Car

It is take you to Karni Mata Temple on the Machhala hill. The cable car is 387 meters long.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 9 PM.
Ropeway Price: Rs.87 for Indian adults, Rs.43 for Indian children (below 110 centimeters) and Rs.300 foreign adults, Rs.150 for foreign children (below 110 centimeters).
How to go: It is situated in the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Park.


Karni Mata Temple

Hindu Temple on Hill

The Karni Mata Temple was built by Maharana Singh from 1620 to 1628.
How to go: You can go there by Ropeway or by staircase. Ropeway can be accessed from Deen Dayal Park, it takes 5 minutes to reach and staircase can access from Manikylal Verma Park which takes around 15-20 minutes to climb up to Karni Mata temple.


Lake Pichola

Lake

It is an artificial lake, created in the year 1362.
Boat Ride Cost: Rs.400 for adult and Rs.200 for children.
Sunset boat Ride Cost: Rs.700 for adult and Rs.400 for children.

Jagmandir

Palace

Jag Mandir is a palace built on an island in the Lake Pichola. The construction of the palace was started in 1551 by Maharana Amar Singh, continued by Maharana Karan Singh and finally completed by Maharana Jagat Singh.
How go to: Mandir Palace can be reached via a boat ride from the Bansi Ghat jetty
Inside the Premises: Pavilion at the entry point, Gul Mahal, Jag Mandir, Garden, Darikhana (Now operating as a restaurant), Bara Patharon Ka Mahal (Palace of the Twelve Stones), museum.



Must watch Taj Palace Hotel on another island in Lake Pichola from the bank of Pichola during evening.


Day-2

Marvel Water Park

Water Park

Visiting Time: 10.30 AM to 6 PM every day.
Entry Fee: Rs.400 for adults and Rs.250 for kids (below 4 feet), Rs.50 for costume, Rs.50 for locker.
How to go: About 3.7 km away from city railway station towards south. After passing the Goverdhan Sagar Lake, turn right from ring road. Then 300 meters to left. Situated at Saras Parlor, NH 8, Goverdhan Villas, Sector 14.


City Palace

Royal Palace

Its construction began in 1553 by Maharana Udai Singh II. The Maharanas lived and administered their kingdom from this palace.
Visiting Time: 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM every day.
Entry Fee: Rs.30 for adult and Rs.15 for children, Rs.200 for Camera.
Inside the Premises: Gateway (main entry through the 'Badi Pol', Other pol is Tripolia Pol), Amar Vilas, Badi Mahal, Bhim Vilas, Chini Chitrashala, Choti Chitrashali, Dilkhusha Mahal, Durbar Hall, Fateprakash Palace, Krisna Vilas, Laxmi Vilas Chowk, Manak Mahal, Mor Chowk, Rang Bhawan (Temples of Lord Krishna, Meera Bai and Shiva located here.), Sheesh Mahal, Museum.

Maharana Pratap Memorial

Historical Monument

This place is the memory of Maharana Pratap and his faithful horse Chetak. You can view sunset from here.

Rajiv Gandhi Garden

Visiting Time: 8 AM to 7 PM.
Entry Fee: Rs.5 per person.
How to go: It is situated at Rani Road, Fateh Sagar Lake. About 1.5 km from Sajjangarh.


Sajjangarh Biological Park

Zoological Park

Visiting Time: 9 AM to 5 PM. Tuesday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Rs.30 for Indian, Rs.300 for foreigner, Rs.80 for Camera and Rs.200 for Video Camera.
How to go: It is situated at Fateh Sagar Rd, Main Gate, Malla Talai.


Sajjan Garh Fort

Also known as Monsoon Palace. Sajjan Singh, Maharana in Mewar kingdom built the Monsoon Palace.
Visiting Time: 8 AM to 6 PM every day.
Entry Fee: Rs.10 for Indian and Rs.80 for foreigner.
How to go: There are available public transport will take you to this fort.
