Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, also known as Agartala Airport (IATA Code- IXA) is an international airport situated 12 km northwest of Agartala near Bangladesh Border.

How to go: It is located about 180 meters from Akhaura Road through Sakuntala Road in Madhyapara, Indranagar.

Ujjayanta Palace

Tripura Royal Palace is now Tripura State Museum.
Ujjayanta Palace was built in 1862 by King Ishan Chandra Manikya (1849–1862). It was destroyed by the Assam earthquake of 12 June 1897. The palace was rebuilt by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya in 1899–1901.
The main building and area around the palace was purchased by the Tripura government from the royal family in 1972–73. It housed the Tripura Legislative Assembly until July 2011. The museum was inaugurated on 25 September 2013.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Friday and Sunday - 11 AM to 9 PM. Saturday 11:30 AM to 9 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: 20 Rupee (US$0.26) for Indian adult and 200 Rupee
(US$2.57) for foreigner. Extra charge for DSLR Camera.  You cannot take bags inside even camera bag.
How to go: It is located just northeast corner of Children's Park, after crossing the road.


The King's Walk

At the front you will see a Indian flag, which is the State's Highest National Flag. There is a Surya Sen Statue.
How to go: About 250 meters street starts from the south side between 2 Rajbari Lakes, and ends at Tripura State Tribal Museum.


Tripura State Tribal Museum

Visiting Time: 10 AM to 5:30 PM every day.
Entry Fee: Free.
How to go: It is located north end of The King's Walk.

Manikya Dynasty Heritage Residential house

Manikya Dynasty was started founded by Maha Manikya, also known as Chhengthung Fa, was the Maharaja of Tripura from about 1400 to 1431.
How to go: The house is located northeast side of Ummaheshwar Temple.


Agartala Town Hall

Uma Maheswar Temple

Also known as Anandamayee Ashram. The Ashram was built on 1st April 1982. The well-known temple of Uma-Maheswara, situated within the Ashram campus.
How to go: It is located about 70 meters south from Agartala Town Hall.


Chandra Mahal

Historical building dating back to 1890's was restored by Maharajkumari Pragya Deb Burman. It is used for hosting banquets weddings, parties, exhibitions and meetings.
How to go: It is located southwest side of Tripura State Tribal Museum.


Jagannath Bari

Built in the 19th century by then Maharaja of Tripura, Maharaj Radha Kishore Manikya.
How to go: It is located about 70 meters from Chandra Mahal towards south.


Akhaura Integrated Checkpost

International Border

India-Bangladesh Border jointly inaugurated on November 17, 2013. Here every day, the flag downing ceremony is held between the two countries from 4.45 PM. There are seats arranged for visitors on both sides of the border who can sit down and watch the entire ceremony. Must bring ID card. There is an army canteen that serves tea, coffee, snacks and ice cream.
How to go: it is located about 3 km from Big Bazar through Akhaura Road towards northwest.



Day-2:

Oxygen Park

Visiting Time: 5 AM to 8 PM, 10 AM to 1 PM, 2 PM to 5 PM.
How to go: It is located about 5.5 km from town hall towards north in Gandhigram.


Albert Ekka Park

Memorial Park

2 hectares park is named after Lance Naik Albert Ekka (27 December 1942 – 3 December 1971), a soldier in the Indian Army. He was martyred in action in the Battle of Gangasagar, during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest award for valour in the face of the enemy.
Two tanks, used in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, were shifted from Post Office Chowmuhani area of Agartala to the Albert Ekka Park in Lichubagan area.
A replica of the existing 40-feet victory pillar at the post office Chowmuhani has been constructed at the Lichubagan park.
How to go: It is located about 1.4 km from Oxygen Park towards south.


Heritage Park

The 12-acre park is covered by a 1.1 km long park pathway that connects the 3 sections - The Mini Tripura, The Natural Forest and The Medicinal Plant Table Top.
Visiting Time: Monday to Thursday - 6 AM to 8 PM. Friday and Sunday - 6 AM to 6 PM. Saturday 24 hours.
Entry Fee: 10 Rupee
(US$0.13).
How to go: It is located about 2 km from Albert Ekka Park towards south.


Malancha Niwas

Bungalow

Malancha Niwas is the house where Nobel poet Rabindranath Tagore had stayed during his visit to Agartala in 1919.
Tagore stayed at a ‘kaccha’ house adjacent to the Kunjaban Palace, which was the private retreat of Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manikya Bahadur.
The ‘kaccha’ house has been demolished today and replaced by a two-story concrete structure.
How to go: It is located east side of Heritage Park.


Rabindra Kanan

The park known for its flowers and with a puppet stage.
How to go: It is located south side of Puspavanta Palace, State government office, which is located south of Malancha Niwas.


Nehru Park

Visiting Time: Wednesday, Satuday and Sunday - 10:45 AM to 6 PM. Monday and Thursday - 10:45 AM to 8 PM. Friday and Tuesday - 10:45 AM to 5:45 PM.
Entry Fee: 10 Rupee
(US$0.13).
How to go: It is located west side of Rabindra Kanan.


Venuvan Vihara Buddhist Monastery

ISKCON Agartala

Visiting Time: 4:30 AM to 8:15 PM every day.
How to go: It is located about 820 meters from east end of Akhaura Road towards east at Math Chowmuhani, NH8, Indranagar.
