Nagarkot (pron: Nogorkot) is a former Village Development Committee in Bhaktapur District. It is located 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nepal.
Famous for: View of Mountain Everest and Himalayas.

How to Reach Nagarkot

From Kamal Binayak, Bhaktapur where Nagarkot Bus Stand is, go to Nagarkot by bus. Buses are overcrowded. It will take almost 1 hour and 30 minutes to go to Nagarkot. Bus fare 50 Rupees.

Hotels in Nagarkot

You have to find hotel at Nagarkot bazar bus stands and around them.
You can book hotel from the below search engine, which compare Booking.com and other all hotel related website and show the different prices of the same room. So, you can book at the lowest price.
Type your city name "Nagarkot". Select your check-in and check-out date and click on search.



This is not the end point. There is a tower up on the hill about 4 km away. I went there by foot. Remember, this is the toughest job, road is good but about 4 km away uphill is quite difficult by foot. It takes almost 40 minutes.
So one thing you can do, talk to your hotel to manage a car or you can hire bike to take you there tomorrow before sunrise. Hire car or bike for one way. So that you can stay as much time you want.


Day 3:
Get up early in the morning at 4 AM. Go to tower by hired car or bike.
After the end point of car, you have to walk a little uphill towards the tower. Enjoy the sunrise and Everest as much as you can.

Nagarkot to Bhaktapur and Kathmandu

Go to Kamal Vinayak Bhaktapur by bus, fare 50R upees, then go to Kathmandu by another bus, fare 25 Rupees.
