By Train from Jakarta: Train leaves from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station. Travel time about 8-10 hours. Train reach at Yogyakarta Tugu Station and Lempuyangan Station. By Bus from Jakarta: Bus fares 85,000–170,000 Rupiah ($6.04 - 12.08) for Non-AC, 180,000–275,000 Rupiah ($12.79 - 19.54) for AC. Yogyakarta bus terminal is Giwangan Bus Terminal, about 6km from the city center.

How to go: About 9 km from Tugu railway station towards northeast. Besides Maguwoharjo Stadium.


Upside Down World Jogja

Entry Fee: 80,000 Rupiah for adult and 40,000 Rupiah for child.
Parking Fee: 2,000 for two-wheel-drive and 3,000 Rupiah for four-wheel-drive.
How to go: It is situated at Jl. Ring Road Utara Jl. Utama. About 3 km from Jogja Bay Pirates Adventure Waterpark.



Day-4:

Sewu Temple

Buddhist Temple

Sewu Temple was built by the end of 8th century. 2nd largest temple in Indonesia after Borobudur Temple.
Visiting Time: 6 AM to 5 PM every day.
How to go: It is situated at Jl. Raya Solo - Yogyakarta No.KM.16, Bugisan, Prambanan, Sleman Regency.


Prambanan Temple

Hindu Temple

The side is the collection of massive Hindu temples (candi) built by the Mataram Kingdom. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A temple was first built at the site around 850 CE.
How to go: It is situated about 750 meters from Sewu Temple towards south.

Entry Fee: No entry fee. There is also a museum inside a building. The Entry fee of that building is 10,000 Rupiah ($0.71).
How to go: By public transport city bus line 7, get off before Angkasa Elementary School. Walk to the museum. You can take Trans Jogja line 1A or 1B. Get off at Janti shelter under the fly over. The museum s 500 meters away from there.

Day-6:

Fort Vredeburg Museum

The first fort was a simple wooden fort was built in 1760. In 1767, the fortress was extended and converted the structure. The fort was completed 1787 and was named Fort Rustenburg. In 1867, the fort was destroyed by an earthquake. The fort was rebuilt and renamed "Fort Vredeburg".
In 1942, it was taken over by the Japanese army and made into the army's headquarters and war prison.
In 1945, Japanese left and the fort Vredeburg served the Indonesian Army as military command post, barracks and prison. The museum opened in 1992
Visiting Time: 7.30 AM to 4 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: 10,000 Rupiah ($0.71).
How to go: From Togu Station, walk towards east through Jalan (road) Pasar Kembang. Then turn left and walk towards south through Jalan (road) Malioboro. This is nice road. Enjoy the road and walk about 1 km towards south. At the end of this road is Jogja 0 km and Fort Vredeburg Museum at the left hand side.



Also visit March 1st General Offensive Monument.

Specially for children.
Visiting Time: 8 AM to 4.15 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: 20,000 Rupiah for adult and 15,000 Rupiah for child.
How to go: It is near Fort Vredeburg Museum.

Gereja Sayidan

It was built in 1979 as a conventional house. IT was restored in 1986.
How to go: About 730 meters from Yogyakarta Sultan Palace towards east.

How to go: Located at Brigjend Katamso Street. It is 500 meters from the Malioboro and 300 meters from Sultan Palace of Yogyakarta and 600 meters from Gereja Sayidan towards south.

Yogyakarta Sultan Palace

Royal Palace

The palace was built in 1755–1756 for Hamengkubuwono I, the first Sultan of Yogyakarta.
On 20 June 1812, British attacked the royal city and the palace was sacked and burned. Most of the current palace was built by Sultan Hamengkubuwono VIII between 1921 to 1939. After earthquakes in 1876 and 2006, it was rebuilt.
Entry Fee: No Ticket booth. Fee required at the entrance where Sultan lived. Cost 12,500 Rupiah ($0.89).
How to go: It is 450 meters walking distance from 0 km towards south.

CitraGrand Mutiara Waterpark

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Friday - 2 to 6 PM. Saturday to Sunday - 8 AM to 6 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Tuesday to Friday 50,000 Rupiah ($3.55) and saturday to Sunday - 80,000 Rupiah ($5.69).
How to go: About 9.30 km from Jogja 0 km towards west.



Day-9:

Air Terjun Kedung Pedut

Waterfalls

There few waterfalls at this area. But must go on rainy season. Otherwise omit this place.
Entry Fee: 3,000 Rupiah ($0.21).
How to go: Kedung Pedut Waterfall is located at Banyunganti, Jatimulyo, Girimulyo, Regency of West Progo. Head towards Jl. Godean, cross the river at progo. Continue to Jl. Kiskendo, go right to Goa Kiskendo. From here, go left to Jatimulyo tourist village.


Kalibiru National Park

Borobudur Temple

Though it is situated at Magelang City, But you can visit it from Yogyakarta.
Borobudur is the world's largest Buddhist temple. It was founded in period between 760 and 830 AD. During Sailendra dynasty rule over Mataram kingdom in central Java.
Visiting Time: 6 AM to 5 PM every day.
Entry Fee: 520,000 Rupiah ($36.96).
How to go: Public bus from from giwangan bus station it cost about 15,000 Rupiah ($1.07) and it takes about 2 hours and from jombor bus station it cost about 10,000 Rupiah ($0.71) and it takes about 1.5 hour.



Day-11:

Gembira Loka Zoo

Visiting Time: 7.30 AM to 5.30 PM every day.
Entry Fee: Weekdays - 30,000 ($2.13) and weekend - 35,000 Rupiah ($2.49).
How to go: It is 3.7 km from Jogja 0 km towards east.


Situs Warungboto

Historical Site

Site was a place of rest and bathing. It was a ruined place for many years. The site became popular among local when President Joko Widodo's daughter Kahiyang Ayu along with Bobby Nasution held pre-wedding photos at the venue. Now many locals come to the historical site for a photo shoot.
How to go: It is located at Veteran Road No.77, Warungboto Village, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta City. From Main road of zoo, walk about 1 km towards south through Jalan Veteran.

Grojogan Lepo Dlingo

Entry Fee: 2,000 Rupiah ($0.14).
How to go: It is situated at Pokoh 1, Dlingo, Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Head towards Imogiri Road and go west towards Mangunan from Yogyakarta City. From the Mangunan market, go in the direction of Dlingo, then Hamlet Pokoh and finally, follow signs to Lepo Niagara.
Parking fee: 2,000 Rupiah ($0.14) for Motorbike and 10,000 ($0.71) for car.


Puncak Becici

Visiting Time: 6 AM to 7 PM.
Entry Fee: 2,500 Rupiah ($0.18).
How to go: It is situated at Gunungcilik RT. 07 / RW. 02, Muntuk, Dlingo, Muntuk, Dlingo, Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. On the road to Patuk, head towards Jalan Imogiri Timur, follow the road until you get to the imogiri market. Then, follow the sign towards Orchard Mangunan. The road climbs up here. Follow it until you hit another intersection, turn left towards the pine forest of Mangunan, keep following this road until there is another intersection and you will see a small sign saying ‘Puncak Becici’ and hold on straight.
Parking: 2,000 Rupiah ($0.14) for motorbike and 5,000 Rupiah ($0.36) for a car.



Day-15:

Air Terjun Kedung Kandang

How to go: It is situated at Nglanggeran, Patuk, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta. From Yogyakarta take the direction to Wonosari Road and head towards Putat. At some point on the way you will start seeing signs that leads you to Air Terjun Kedung Kendang.


Day-16:

Kalisuci Cave Tubing

Sinden Beach and Kalong Island

Parking Fee: 3,000 Rupiah ($0.21) for bike and 5,000 Rupiah ($0.36) for car.
How to go: It is situated at Jepitu Village, Girisubo Sub-district, Gunung Kidul District, Yogyakarta. Near Jungwok Beach.


There are nearby 2 beaches. You can visit there - Jungwok Beach and Wedi Ombo Beach.
