Munich public transportation network (MVV) consists of underground (U-Bahn), suburban trains (S-Bahn), trams and buses.

Zones: MVV area is devided in seven tariff zones. 1-6 Zones and M-Zone (covers munich city). Munich Airport is located in zone-5. Main Rail Station is located in M-Zone.

Grünwald Castle

The present building construction was started in between 1486 and 1487. Louis X, Duke of Bavaria was born here on 18th September, 1495.
Since 1979 the Castle houses the Museum.

Fischbrunnen

A fountain was established in 1318 at Marienplatz but not exist. Later "Marktbrunnen" fountain was establieshed in 1343 at the same place of Fischbrunnen. Present Fischbrunnen fountain was built on 19 September 1866 and completele destructed in 1944. New fountain was built at the site in 1954.

Alter Hof

After 1255, It was the residence of Louis II (13 April 1229 – 2 February 1294). Later it used as a court of munich. destroyed during World War II and rebuilt. It is now a museum "Landesstelle für die nichtstaatlichen Museen in Bayern"

Large monument in honor of the Bavarian King Maximilian II was unveiled on October 12, 1875.

One of the four royal avenues (Maximilianstraße, Brienner Straße, Ludwigstraße and Prinzregentenstraße). North-south street starts from Odeonsplatz (south end) and ends at Siegestor (north end).

Bavarian state library

Liabrary

The library was founded in 1558. According to 2019, it has a collection of 10.89 million books. It is one of the best research libraries in the world. It is one of the most important manuscript collections of the world and the largest collection of incunabula in the world.
How to go: It is located about 500 meters from Odeonsplatz square towards north at Ludwigstraße 16.

St. Ludwig München

The gate was built in in 1852 by King Ludwig I (25 August 1786 – 29 February 1868).

Park on 910 acres of land, is one of the largest urban public parks in the world.

Japanese teahouse: In April 1972, a Japanese teahouse and a Japanese garden were built at the south end of the Park behind Haus der Kunst museum.
Monopteros: Small Temple was built in 1836 on the place of a wooden Apollo temple of similar design.
Klenze's Steinerne Bank: Near Northwest side of Monopteros.
Chinesische Restaurant: A restaurant with 7000 seats is located between Steinerne Bank and Chinese Tower. The beer garden is the 2nd largest in munich.
Chinese Tower: 25-meter-high 5 storeys wooden tower was constructed in 1790. It was completeley burned and new tower of same design was completed in September, 1952.
Carousel: There is a carousel near the Chinese Tower.
Rumford Hall: A small building was built in 1791, currently using as a used by the city of Munich as a children's center.
Kleinhesseloher See: Lake located about 700 meters from Rumford Hall towards north.
Eisbach: Small 2 km long manmade river inside the Park premises. A manmade wave has been created which is popular place for surfing.
Hirschau: Beer Garden is located 300 meters from north end of Kleinhesseloher See towards northeast and 300 meters from Eisbach towards northwest.
Schönfeldwiese: Green Field between the Monopteros and the Japanisches Teehaus. In this part of the Gardens nude sunbathing has been permitted.
