The Jeanie Johnston: An Irish Famine Story

Ship

Jeanie Johnston is a replica of a sailing vessel with three masts. The original Jeanie Johnston was built in Quebec, Canada, in 1847. It was used as a cargo vessel to trade with North America. In 1855, the ship was sold to England. In 1858, on the way from Hull to Quebec, it sank.
On 6 May 2000, the replica was launched and completed in 2002.
