The temples were founded in the early nineteenth century by Ramhari Biswas and Pran Krishna Biswas, the then landlords of Khardah.
How to go: By Sealdah-Krishnanagar train from Sealdah station and get off at Khardah station. Then walk about 1.5 km towards west on the bank of river. Or by bus to Khardah stop and walk to there at Ramhari Biswas Ghat Road, Khardah.
Baaro Mandir Ghat Panihati

How to go: It is located about 2.2 km from 26 Shiv Temple towards south. From Shayam Sundar Ghat to Panihati Ferry Ghat. Then walk about 700 meters toards north. From Sodpur train station walk about 1.6 km towards northwest at 12, 19, Ramkrishna Pally, Panihati, sodepur.
Dakhineswar Temple

The temple was built in 1847-1855 by Rani Rashmoni. Ramkumar Chhattopadhyay was the head priest. Soon his younger brother Gadai or Gadadhar (later known as Ramakrishna) moved in. Ramkumar Chattopadhyay died in 1856, and the position was given to Ramakrishna along with his wife Sarada Devi. They stayed in the south side of the Nahabat (music room) in a small room on the ground floor, which is now a shrine dedicated to her. After the death of Rani Rashmoni on 19 February 1861, her son-in-law, Madhur, had to look after the temple.
How to go: It is located about 5 km from Baaro Mandir Ghat Panihati towards south. By boat from Panihati Ferry Ghat to Dakshineswar - Belur Ferry Terminal. Then walk towards south to the temple.
There are several buses go to Dakkhineswar Temple from Howrah Bus station near Howrah Bridge via Belur Math bus stop. Fare Rs. 8. Bus crosses Nivedita Bridge and goes straight. You have to get down from the bus after the bridge crossed. Then take U-turn left will see a road goes to the temple which is called Rani Rashmoni Road. There are many shops both side of the road. Go straight towards river and you will get the temple.
On the other hand you can go by boat. From Belur Math Ghat to Dakhineswar temple Ghat. Fare 10 Rupee ($0.14).
Dakshineswar Skywalk
