Statue of Liberty

Statue of Liberty, the copper statue is one of the seven wonder in the world. It is a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States. Construction started in September 1875 and completed in 1886.
The statue is a figure of Libertas (Libertas is the Roman goddess and personification of liberty. She became a politicised figure in the Late Republic). She holds a torch above her head with her right hand, and in her left hand carries a tabula ansata (A tabula ansata is a tablet with dovetail handles). Writen on tabula is "JULY IV MDCCLXXVI". A broken shackle and chain lie at her feet as she walks forward. Hieght of copper statue is 151 feet 1 inch. Total height from ground is 305 feet 1 inch.
In 1984, the Statue of Liberty was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
If you plan to visit the crown, you will need to climb 354 steps, which is the only way to access the crown. You may not take any bags, bottles or any other items into the crown other than a camera or a cell phone.
Entry Fee: Liberty Island entry is free. There is a ticket to enter to crown which is $3.
How to go: Statue of Liberty is located in the Liberty island. You can reach Liberty island only by ferry from 3 different locations.

* Walk inside the Arch towards north, you will reach a wooden bridge. cross the bridge and walk left to Huddlestone Arch.
* Walk right towards east to Fort Fish Site
* Walk south to Burnett Fountain.
* Walk north to Conservatory Garden.
* Walk north to Untermyer Fountain.
* Walk north to Fort Clinton.
* Walk to Lasker Rink and Pool, Ice skating rink.
* Walk to north and then right to Charles A. Dana Discovery Center.
