Adorno-Denkmal

The monument of Theodor W. Adorno, who was sociologist, philosopher, music critic and composer of frankfurt. It was inaugurated on October 10, 2003.
How to go: It is located about 1 km from Geldmuseum Museum towards south at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University on the Bockenheim campus.

Skyscraper

208 meters tall 53 floors skycraper was built in 1993.
How to go: It is located about 300 meters from northeast corner of Hauptbahnhof central train station towards north.


Deutsche Bank Twin Towers

Skyscraper

Both tower height is 155 meters and floors are in one is 38 and another is 40. It was built in 1984. It is the headquarter of Deutsche Bank.
How to go: It is located about 450 meters from Westendstrasse 1 towards east.


Alte Oper

Opera House

The building was first built in 1880. It was destroyed by bombs in 1944 and rebuilt again in 1981.
How to go: It is located about 350 meters from Deutsche Bank Twin Towers towards northeast at Opernplatz 1.


Freßgass

Street

280 meters long east-west street.
How to go: It starts from Opernplatz near Alte Oper (west end) to Hochstraße street (east end).


Goethestraße

290 meters long east-west street is luxury shopping street.
How to go: It starts from Opernplatz near Alte Oper (west end) to Börsenstraße and Goetheplatz (in the east).


Main Tower

200 meters tall 56-storey skyscraper. There is an observatory deck on top of the skyscraper.

Dreikönigskirche

Church

A hospital chapel was built in 1340. Interior was remodelled in Baroque style in 1690. The church was demolished in 1875 and the new church was completed in 1880.
How to go: It is located about 180 meters from the south end of Eiserner Steg Bridge.

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 10 AM to 6 PM. Monday remains closed.

Monastery

It was a Carmelite monastery from 1246 to 1803.
How to go: It is located north side of Frankfurt Archaeological museum.


Goethe House

Museum

It is the birth place of a German poet, playwright, novelist, scientist, statesman, theater director, critic, and artist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (28 August 1749 – 22 March 1832).
The house, dating from around 1600, was bought in 1733. It was remodeled in present structure in 1755. Goethe family sold the house in 1795.
The house was destroyed on May 22, 1944 during war, and it was restored in 1947-1951 as its previous design and decoration. It was opened to the public as Goethe Museum in 1954.
Visiting Time: Monday to Saturday - 10 AM to 6 PM. Sunday and holiday - 10 AM to 5.30 PM.
Entry Fee: 7 Euro ($8.55) for adult. 3 Euro ($3.67) for reduced.
How to go: It is located 180 meters from Karmeliterkloster Monastery towards north at Großer Hirschgraben 23-25.


Liebfrauen, Frankfurt

Church

The first building was built in 1325. The church was completely destroyed by bombing in World War II in 1944, and was restored in the 1950s.
How to go: It is located about 380 meters from Goethe House towards east at Liebfrauenberg.


St. Catherine's Church

The church was built in 1678-1681. It was rebuilt in October 1954.
How to go: It is located about 100 meters from Liebfrauen towards northwest at An der Hauptwache 1.


Hauptwache

Building

It was built in 1730 as the headquarters of Stadtwehr militia and a prison. In 1866, took over military activities, it became a police station. In 1904, the building used as a café. The building was damaged during World War II. It renovated and bacame the S-Bahn station in 1978.
How to go: It is located east end of Freßgass street at Hauptwache square.



Day-9:

Zeil

Street

1.2 km east-west street.
How to go: It has 2 parts. 1st part (western part) is pedestrian street starts from Hauptwache (west end) to Konstablerwache square (east end). The eastern part of the street is called "New Zeil", starts from Konstablerwache square (west end) to Theater Kulturhaus Frankfurt (east end), near Zoo Frankfurt.


Zoo Frankfurt

Visiting Time: 9 AM to 7 PM every day.

How to go: It is located about 250 meters from the east end of Zeil street.

Old St Nicholas Church wast first built in the mid-12th century. The current church was built and opened in 1467.

How to go: It is located about 80 meters from Historisches Museum Frankfurt toward north.

Fountain of Justice

Fountain

Stone sculpture of Justitia, the female champion of justice was erected in 1610 and was reproduced in bronze in 1887.
How to go: It is located in Römerberg Square.


Frankfurter Kunstverein
