Cairo International Airport (IATA Code- CAI) is the nearest international airport for Giza and the busiest airport in Egypt. The airport is located in Heliopolis, to the northeast of Cairo around 15 km from the business area of the city.

Imbaba Bridge

Only railway bridge connected Cairo and Giza across the Nile was first constructed at this site in 1891. The current version of the bridge was built between 1912 and 1924.
How to go: It is located about 2.2 km from Ramses Station in Cairo towards northwest at the north end of Gezira Island.

Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil Museum

The palace was built in 1915 in the palace of Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil (1877-1953) and his french wife, Emiline Lock. He used to collect paintings from Paris. Khalil died in 1953. Emiline donated the house to the Egyptian government. The house was then converted into a museum and was officially inaugurated on July 23, 1962.
Visiting Time: Tuesday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday - 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Friday and Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: 25 Pounds ($1.59) for foreigner. 10 Pounds
($0.64) for Egyptian adult. 1 Pound ($0.064) for Egyptian student.

Orman Botanical Garden

It was established in 1875 by Khedive Isma'il Pasha on a larger site than it presently occupies as part of the Palace.

Egypt's Renaissance Statue

The statue was made in 1928 by Mahmoud Mokhtar. The statue was originally placed at Ramsis square. Later it was moved to its current place.

Pharaonic Village

It was established by Dr. Hassan Ragab and his son Dr. Abdelsalam Ragab. The pharaonic village represent the journey to the days of the pharaohs. There are museums, cafeterias, boat rentals, a children's playground and a restaurant that serves both Egyptian and European dishes.
Visiting Time: 9 AM to 7 PM every day.
Entry Fee: 200 Pounds

Taha Hussein Museum

Taha Hussein (15 November 1889 - 28 October 1973) was one of the most influential Egyptian writers and intellectuals, and a figurehead for the Egyptian Renaissance.
The museum was established in 1991.
Visiting Time: Sunday to Thursday - 9 AM to 3 PM. Friday and Saturday remains closed.
How to go: It is located about 4.2 km from Pharaonic Village towards northwest.

Pyramid of Djedefre

It is believed to have been built by Djedefre, ruler of 4th Dynasty, who Ruled around 2575 BC. It was unfinished upon his death and today mostly of ruins.
How to go: It is Egypt's northernmost pyramid at Abu Rawash, some 8 km to the north of Giza.

Pyramid Complex

Pyramid is one of the 7 wonders of the world and the site is designated as UNESCO World Heritage site. The Giza Pyramid Complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau. It was built around 2570 BC. The Complex consists for 3 main pyramids (Great Pyramid, Pyramid of Khafre and Pyramid of Menkaure), and other small pyramids, Boat Museums, Sphinx, few monuments and cemeteries.
There are two entrances into the pyramid complex. The original entrance is located on the north side, in front of Marriott Mena House hotel. Another entrance at the east near Sphinx. There are ticket counter at the both entry gate.
Visiting Time: 7 AM to 4 PM.
Entry Fee: 600 Pounds

The Great Pyramid

Also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops is the oldest and largest of the pyramids. Khufu ruled Egypt from 2589 to 2566 BC.
Estimate that it was built around 2570 BC. The height was 481 feet was the tallest man-made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years until the Lincoin Cathedral was built in 1311 AD in England. Now the height of the pyramid in 454.4 feet.
The Great Pyramid was built by approximately 2.3 million large blocks. Total weight is about 6 million tonnes.
The internal structure consists of three main chambers (the King's, Queen's and Subterranean Chamber), the Grand Gallery.
The entrance passage, which meet at a junction. From there, one passage descends into the Subterranean Chamber, and the other ascends to the Grand Gallery. At the beginning of the gallery there are three paths. one connects to a descending passage, Second one leading to the Queen's Chamber, and another one to the King's Chamber. Above the King's Chamber, there are five compartments (also called "Relieving Chambers"), named (from lowest upwards) "Davison's Chamber", "Wellington's Chamber", "Nelson's Chamber", "Lady Arbuthnot's Chamber", and "Campbell's Chamber".


Mortuary Temple of Khufu:

The temple was built east side of Great Pyramid and has almost entirely disappeared.

Subsidiary Pyramids:

On the east side of Great Pyramid, there were 4 subsidiary pyramids. 3 that remainings are popularly known as the Queens' Pyramids (G1-a, G1-b and G1-c). 4th small satellite pyramid (G1-d) was so destroyed that it no longer exists.

Eastern Cemetery:

The tomb of Queen Hetepheres I, mother of Khufu, is located approximately 110 meters east of the Great Pyramid. Though it was not proven.

Khufu Ship

Khufu ruled Egypt from 2589 to 2566 BC. Later in 1954 AD, Khufu’s ship was discovered in a closed pit near the Great Pyramid. It was completely disassembled into 1,224 components.
Khufu's ship is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved vessels. It is 43.4 meters long and 5.9 meters wide. It was identified as the world's oldest intact ship. The ship was preserved in the Giza Solar boat museum.

How to go: It is located at the south east of Great Pyramid.


Pyramid of Khafre

The Pyramid of Khafre is the second-tallest and second-largest pyramid in the complex. The height is 136.4 meters. It is said that the pyramid was built by the Fourth-Dynasty pharaoh Khafre (Chefren), son of Khufu. Khafre ruled around 2558-2532 BC.
How to go: It is located about 170 meters from the southwest side of the Great Pyramid.

Pyramid of Menkaure

Menkaure (2532-2503 BC) was the son of Khafre. He built the Pyramid of Menkaure. This pyramid is the smallest of the three main pyramids at Giza, 65.5 meters in height.
How to go: It is lcoated about 300 meters from the southwest of Pyramid of Khafre towards southwest.

Queens' Pyramids

South of the pyramid of Menkaure are three smaller pyramids, designated G3-a, G3-b, and G3-c.
How to go: These are located south side of Pyramid of Menkaure.


Great Sphinx of Giza

Sphinx

It is a 20 metres high limestone statue of a reclining sphinx (Sphinx is a mythical creature with the head of a human and the body of a lion with the wings of a falcon). It was built during the reign of Khefre, son of Khufu. Khafre ruled around 2558-2532 BC. The face of the Sphinx appears to represent the pharaoh Khafre.
How to go: It is located about 530 meters from Pyramid of Khafre towards east near east entry gate.



Day-5:

Abousir Necropolis

Pyramid Complex consists of 3 main pyramids (Pyramid of Sahure, Pyramid of Nyuserre and Pyramid of Neferirkare), and Mastaba of Ptahshepses was built around 2503 BC.
The complex is almost ruined.
How to go: It is located about 11 km from the east gate of fourth dynasty pyramid complex towards southeast at Abusir.
Inside the Premises:
Pyramid of Sahure: The Pyramid of Sahure is a pyramid built by the Egyptian pharaoh Sahure, the 2nd ruler of the Fifth Dynasty (around 2510–2325 BC) during his reign around 2503-2489 BC.
Mastaba of Ptahshepses: Ptahshepses was the son-in-law of the Fifth Dynasty pharaoh Nyuserre Ini. The mastaba of Ptahshepses was built in three phases on the southeast of Pyramid of Sahure.
Pyramid of Nyuserre: Neuserre is the 6th king of the 5th dynasty (ruled approx: 2466-2431 BC).
Pyramid of Neferirkare: The Pyramid of Neferirkare was built by the 3rd king of 5th Dynasty pharaoh Neferirkare Kakai during his rule around 2489-2469 BC.
Pyramid of Khentkaus II: Ruined Pyramid of Khentkaus II is a queen's pyramid in the necropolis of Abousir, which was built during the Fifth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Queen Khentkaus II, who may have ruled Egypt as a reigning queen after the death of her husband Neferirkare Kakai.



Day-6:

Saqqara Necropolis

How to go: It is located about 3.5 km from Abousir Necropolis towards south.
Inside the Premises:
Pyrimid of Djoser: It was built in the 27th century BC during the Third Dynasty for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser. Djoser was the first or second king of the 3rd Dynasty (around 2670–2650 BC).


Dahshur Necropolis

How to go: It is located about 9 km from Saqqara necropolis towards south.
Inside the Premises:
Red Pyramid: It is the largest pyramid in Dahshur Necropolis. The Red Pyramid was the third pyramid built by Old Kingdom Pharaoh Sneferu, and was built around 2613–2589 BC. Red Pyramid is now The Red Pyramid is 105 meters high.
Bent Pyramid: It was constructed around 2600 BC by Old Kingdom Pharaoh Sneferu.
Black Pyramid: The Black Pyramid was built by King Amenemhat III during his reign around 1860 to 1814 BC.
