Salsa Beach
BeachSalsa Beach is located in Ramu Upazila. The last parasailing point Fun Fest is here. We will visit Salsa Beach. One of the reasons for this is that it has a very beautiful view of the mountains on one side and a lagoon on the other side. On which there is a wooden bridge.
There are some restaurants on the side of the road in front of the mountain. It would be nice to walk over the wooden bridge. There is a view of the lagoon on both sides and a beautiful view of the mountain behind. And a jhau forest in front. Once you cross the bridge, there is a path to the beach and only jhau trees on both sides of the path.
Casuarina Tree:
Jhau Tree is known as casuarina tree in Englsh is also known as the Australian Pine, Beech she-oak or Whistling Pine.
A special feature of the Zhou tree is the unique structure of its leaves. The leaves of the Zhou tree are long and narrow, like needles. The tree usually grows to a height of 20-30 meters. At first glance, you might think it's a pine tree—but it's not! The Zhou tree is not even related to pine trees.
The Zhou tree belongs to the family Casuarinae, and their name comes from the word 'cassowary', a bird with feathers like the spiky branches of a tree! The Zhou tree is a coastal warrior. While other trees struggle with salty soil and strong winds, this tree survives even in these extreme conditions! In fact, it plays a huge role in preventing beach erosion by holding sand in place.
Did you know that the Zhou tree has a special ability to fix nitrogen in the soil, which helps improve soil fertility even in nutrient-deficient sands.
One interesting fact is that this tree whistles in the wind. Have you ever heard it? In fact, when the wind blows through the thin branches of the Zhou tree, it produces a gentle whistling sound—which is why it is also called the Whistling Pine.
The zhau tree is not just a beach protector! It has superpowers that make it useful for both humans and wildlife!"
It is used as fuel because its wood catches fire quickly and burns for a long time.
The zhau tree is also famous for its timber. Its wood is extremely hard and durable, which is used in construction.
Its dense canopy provides a nesting place for birds.
In some parts of the world, such as Florida and Hawaii, the baobab tree grows very quickly, which creates problems for the local ecosystem. This may be one of the reasons for the Florida fires. So too much of anything is not good. It requires balance.
A very clean beach. When you look at the beach, you think that there will be oysters of different colors lying on the sand. Many of you have seen oysters more or less. And picking oysters on the beach is a different kind of joy. That's why many people are seen picking oysters lying on the sand.
Oysters:
When you think of oysters, Its in your mind that, oysters have pearls. In fact, most oysters found on beaches do not produce pearls. Pearl oysters of the Pinctada species are mostly found in the deep sea, not on beaches. Only 1 in 10,000 wild oysters produce natural pearls. If there are any oyster pearls on the beach, they will be small, shapeless, and not very valuable. But the beautiful sized pearls you see in jewelry are made from cultured oysters.
Most of the Oysters we see on the beach are dead. In cold and humid weather, oyster can survive out of water for hours or even a day.
Some oysters are protandric hermaphrodites, meaning they can start life as one sex and change to the other. Typically, they start out as males and then change to females when they reach adulthood.
Oysters are like natural water filters. They can filter up to 50 gallons of water per day, removing plankton and improving water quality. So, they're great for the environment too.
Oysters can live for many years, and some species can even live for 20 years or more. But in the wild, they usually live for 3-5 years.
Oysters make a unique clicking or popping sound when they open and close their shells. Although we can't hear it underwater without a special microphone.
Oysters like to live in groups, which are called oyster beds or shoals. Sometimes called oyster reefs. It is a lot like a coral reef. Baby oysters, called spats, are a group of baby oysters that cling to something solid. They grow there without moving. More oysters join there, forming a high wall one on top of the other. And the reef grows bigger. This reef is very important, providing habitat for many species, from fish to crabs. It also protects the seashore from heavy waves.
More than fifty species of oysters are eatable. Oysters are also used in poultry feed.
Oysters contain important nutrients like zinc, iron, calcium, selenium, as well as vitamin A and vitamin B12. However, they are low in nutritional value. A dozen raw oysters contain only 110 kilo calories of energy. The highest nutritional value is obtained when oysters are eaten raw.
The color and shape of an oyster depends on its habitat, water temperature, and what it eats! Oysters that grow in muddy water have dark, rough shells, while oysters from sandy or rocky areas have smooth, light-colored shells.

Mini Bandarban
Hilly AreaWe will now go to Goalia Palong. This area is a little hilly. After visiting Cox's Bazar and seeing the sea for a few days, you can visit this Goalia Palong hilly area for a little mood change. Due to the presence of hills, this place has become known as Mini Bandarban.
On the right is the Reju Canal Bridge and on the left is this area located in Ramu Upazila. From here, the road starts to have a bit of a hilly feel. If you follow this very beautiful road, you will reach the hills of Mini Bandarban.
The road passes through the middle of the mountain. Everyone stops here and takes photos. So don't miss it, stand here and take some beautiful memories. Just after this, you see a tea stall. This is one spot and going ahead, there is another spot.
Rejuk Khal Kayaking
SportsKayaks are arranged on the Reju Canal. Two people can ride. 10 minutes 250 taka for two people.
A kayak is a small, narrow human-powered watercraft that is typically propelled by a long, double-sided paddle. It's a great way to build cardiovascular fitness while enjoying nature.
In British English, a kayak is considered a type of canoe. The act of kayaking is called kayaking, and a person who rides a kayak is called a kayaker.
Some kayaks, such as sprint kayaks, are designed to be fast and light, while others, such as whitewater kayaks, are designed to be strong.
Kayaks are thought to be at least 4,000 years old. They were used to hunt seals, whales, and fish in icy waters.
The oldest remaining kayaks are displayed in the North American section of the State Museum of Ethnology in Munich, Germany, with the oldest dating back to 1577.
Kayaking became increasingly popular in the mid-1800s, and Europeans became interested in it. People in Germany and France began kayaking for sport.
In 1931, Adolf Anderle was the first person to kayak in the Salzachöfen Gorge in Austria, which is considered the birthplace of modern white-water kayaking.
In 1932, long-distance kayaker Friedel Meyer kayaked from Bavaria, Germany to Westminster, England, and in 1933 he kayaked from Westminster to Montrose, Scotland.
Kayak racing debuted at the Berlin Olympic Games in 1936. Now, the Olympics feature more than 10 whitewater kayaking events.

Hammock Point
Relax PointA hammock isn't just a comfortable place to be - it also has an interesting history and some amazing benefits.
Ancient writers mention the use of "hanging beds" as early as 400 BC, but do not provide any details. Hammocks were used by indigenous peoples of Central and South America more than 1,000 years ago. Early hammocks were woven from tree bark. Hammocks were hung above the ground to keep out snakes, insects, and wet soil.
Around 1590, hammocks began to be used on sailing ships. In 1597, the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland officially used sling hammocks.
Hammocks were regularly used for sailors to sleep on the gun decks of warships, where it was not possible to set up permanent beds due to limited space.
Before the use of hammocks, sailors were often injured and even killed because when their ship tilted in the strong waves of a rough sea, their beds tilted along with them and they would fall from their high beds. Since the hammock hangs downward, even if the ship is tilted by strong waves, the hammock remains downward. Therefore, it is more comfortable to sleep in a hammock than a bed while at sea.
Many sailors became so accustomed to this method of sleeping that they would bring their hammocks ashore on vacation. The use of naval hammocks continued into the 20th century.
Hammocks have even been used in spacecraft. Starting with Apollo 12, hammocks were used so that the commander and pilot could sleep while the astronauts walked on the moon.
In countries like Brazil, Mexico, and the Philippines, hammocks are often used for daily sleeping.
El Salvador is a major producer and exporter of hammocks. The valley in which the city of San Salvador is located is called "The Valley of the Hammocks" because Native Americans used hammocks to withstand the constant shaking of earthquakes.
Studies have shown that the gentle swing of a hammock can help people fall asleep faster and experience deeper sleep.
Modern hammocks are made of lightweight materials like nylon and are suitable for camping. The net system design allows air to circulate easily, which keeps people cool in hot weather. In winter, you can also use a thin mattress that will protect you from the cold below.
Fool Moon Party
Seasonal EventThere is a small island in the sea west of Mermaid Beach Resort where the Full Moon Party is held. The Full Moon Party is an all-night beach party that started in 1985 in Haad Rin on the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand. The party takes place every night of the full moon.
Daria Nagar Parasailing Point
SportsYou can do parasailing in Cox's Bazar. It can only be done single. There are 4 spots in Cox's Bazar so far. I have shown you all of them. The price is the same for all. Its cost is 2000 taka and 2500 taka. For 2000 taka, you will be taken 1 kilometer towards the sea. And for 2500 taka, you can be taken a little further in and touch the sea water. However, this is only possible if there is wind.
Parasailing, also known as parasailing, is a sport in which people are attached to a modified parachute canopy that is attached to the back of a motor vehicle on land or a speedboat on water. When the speedboat or vehicle starts moving, the parachute is pulled into the air and lifted up.
The "ascending-gliding" parachute was developed in 1962 by French engineer Pierre-Marcel Lemoigne. What is special about the "ascending-gliding" parachute? A previous simple parachute was designed to descend only downwards. But the "ascending-gliding" parachute is specially designed to descend and then rise and move forward when towed by a boat or car. Previously, army parachutists were lifted up by airplanes for parachute training. Then they were released. This was very expensive.
In 1963, Pioneer Parachute Company purchased a license from Lemoine to manufacture and sell this parachute, which was commercially known as the "Parasail".
In 1973, Mark McCulloh designed the first self-contained parasail towing vessel. The towing vessel is the one you see below, pulling a boat with a rope. Mark McCulloh later called it a "winch boat."
In 1975, he formed the first parasailing operation in the United States, Sun Sport Corporation of America, based in Miami, Florida. He successfully tested the winch boat for several months. The winch boat uses a mechanical winch, which is a device with a spool of rope or cable. It lifts passengers directly off the boat and back onto the boat, rather than from the beach or water. This system makes parasailing safer and more accessible for tourists and beginners. It also makes it possible to parasail in deep seas, far from the coastline.
Before winch boats, parasailers had to take off and land from the beach, which could be risky. Although we still do beach launches in Cox's Bazar and we've shown you practical examples of people falling into the water. In 1984, McCullough designed the world's first automatic release winch system.
In 1976, Brian Gaskin designed the first 16-gore canopy and began manufacturing it with his company, Waterbird. The word "gore" refers to the individual fabric panels sewn together to form the shape of a parachute or parasail. A 16-gore canopy means that the parachute is made up of 16 separate panels. This design provides better lift, stability, and durability during parasailing. His company, Waterbird, is still in operation today, manufacturing commercial and recreational 16-gore parasails.
The size of the parasail is normally 24-28 feet in diameter for 1 passenger. Recently, the canopy size has been increased to carry more passengers at once. For example, 2 people in a 30 to 36 foot diameter and 3 people in a 38 to 42 foot diameter can parasail at the same time.
