Visiting Time: Time: 6 AM to 5:30 PM every day.

How to go: I started with the violet line. I arrived at Lajpat Nagar metro station (exchange of violet and pink lines). Here I changed to Pink Line, then went to Nizamuddin Metro Station (Pink Line). Departure Gate-3. Then I took a left U-turn and started walking north on the left side of the main road. After passing the West of Wonder Park gate, I entered the Indraprastha Park on the left. A total walk of about 650 meters.



Shanti Stupa

Shanti Stupa Delhi

Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist monument, intended as "a symbol of universal brotherhood and peace." It is one of several peace pagodas in the world. It was inaugurated by the Dalai Lama on 4 November 2007 and opened on 14 November 2007 after three years of construction.

Shanti Stupa measures 30 meters in height and 37 meters in diameter.

The park has the replicas of iconic seven wonders of the world (Taj Mahal, Great Pyramid of Giza, Colosseum, Rio Redeemer, The Statue of Liberty, The Eiffel Tower, The Leaning Tower of Pisa).

After buying the ticket, I entered the gate and thought to turn clockwise. So I started going left.

I continued to walk and reached at Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt.

Then I saw Leaning Tower at Pisa in Italy.

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 11 AM to 11 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: 50 Rupees (US$ 0.61) for adult. 25 Rupees (US$ 0.31) for child age 3-12. Free for child 0-2 and senior age 65+.

How to go: It is located south of Indraprastha Park. After round trip walk in the Indraprastha Park, I came back here.



Swaminarayan Akshardham

The temple was opened on 6 November 2005.

The complex has an Abhishek Mandap, Sahaj Anand water exhibit, a thematic garden and three exhibitions called Sahajanand Darshan (Hall of Values), Neelkanth Darshan (an IMAX film on Swaminarayan's early life as a child yogi, Neelkantha), and Sanskruti Darshan (cultural boat ride).

The main attraction of the Swaminarayan Akshardham complex is the Akshardham temple. It spans 141 feet high, 316 feet wide and 356 feet long.

Visiting Time: Tuesday to Sunday - 10 AM to 6:30 PM. Monday remains closed.
Exhibition: 10 AM to 5:30 PM. Monday remains closed.
Entry Fee: Free. During Exhibition - 170 Rupees (US$ 2.08) for adult. 125 Rupees (US$ 1.53) for Senior age 65 and above. 100 Rupees (US$ 1.23) for child age 4-11. Free for child age 0-3. Musical Fountain - 30 Rupees (US$ 0.37) for adult and Senior age 65 and above. 2 Rupees (US$ 0.025) for child age 4-11. Free for child age 0-3.
Security Check: Too much security check, looks like you are going to meet the president. Haha... You must put all your camera, mobile, lighter, cigarette in their free locker. You will then enter through another check where you will have to unbuckle your belt.

How to go: It is located about 350 meters southwest of Akshardham Metro Station (Blue Line). From Hazrat Nizamuddin metro station (pink line), go to the next station - Mayur Vihar Phase-1 metro station (interchange of pink and blue line). Then change to blue line and walk towards platform 2. Then go the next metro station Akshardham Metro station (blue line).

Sanjay Lake is an artificial lake is spread over an area of approximately 42 acres in the middle of a 170 acres forest area. Sanjay Lake was developed in the 1970s and opened in 1982.

Visiting Time: 5 AM to 9 PM every day.
Entry Fee: Free.

How to go: From Akshardham Temple gate, Sanjay Lake gate is about 2 km towards southeast. So I catch the Akshardham metro station (blue line), and headed to Mayur Vihar Phase-1 metro station (interchange of pink and blue line). Then I changed to pink line, and walked to Platform 3, and went to Trilokpuri-Sanjay Lake metro station (pink line). It is located east end of the Sanjay Lake park.
